Top Players That Caught My Attention During The Expo. (Part 2)

With more than 200 hoopers in attendance, the Expo in Appleton was the place to be. The talent and energy made for a great day of basketball. Here are some of the players who stood out to me.

Alexander showed good instincts as a shooter, knocking down back to back threes during the 3 on 3 action. His ability to connect from deep stood out, but he also brought a physical approach when attacking the basket. That combination of outside shooting and a willingness to drive gave defenders something to think about. Keep an eye on Alexander this season.

Loiselle had one of the strongest frames at the showcase and put it to use with an aggressive presence on the boards. He showed the ability to take defenders off the dribble, combining strength and mobility to attack the basket. During scrimmages, he was a pest defensively by making players work for their opportunities. The 2027 prospect also displayed his athleticism by getting above the rim, rounding out a nice showing on both ends.

Johnson was one of the better combo guards I evaluated at the Expo, balancing his own scoring opportunities with the efforts to get others involved. He played with a purpose, getting downhill and getting to his spots to draw shooting fouls. His ability to create offense for himself and others really stood out. The Racine Lutheran prospect should have an importing role as the Crusaders look to have another great season.

Wagner used his length to score in different ways around the basket, showing his versatility as an interior scoring threat. His IQ stood out, particularly in how he found ways within the flow of the game. Wagner was very active on defense, using his long frame to challenge players that attacked the rim making his presence felt. His combination of length, awareness, and activity made him a prospect who caught my attention.
