Smith played behind an experienced Cathedral Prep backcourt, but everything he showed at the JV level and throughout his development points toward a guard who has a legitimate chance to become one of District 10's premier players in the Class of 2028. He can really shoot the basketball, with good range and a quick release. Close hard and he has the first step to get downhill. Once he gets there, he finishes well with both hands. I like when Smith is at the point guard spot. He sees the floor well and is an exceptional passer. But he also plays well as the off-guard, especially when running the floor in transition. Essentially, he can be put into either guard position and he'll be comfortable in that role. When you combine his production at the varsity level with how much his skill set has expanded, Wilbur has a strong case as one of District 10's top prospects in the 2028 class. Wilbur is a legitimate three-level scorer. He likes an open floor where he can isolate a defender. Once he gets his feet in the lane, he finishes well at the rim. Over the last year, Wilbur has become an excellent shooter from deep.&nbsp; He is a lockdown defender who takes pride in keeping his man in front of him. Keep your eyes on this kid. He has an ability to threaten defenses both from the perimeter and off penetration. He sees the floor extremely well, is a strong passer, and understands how to get teammates the ball in positions where they can score. In my opinion, he is currently the best point guard in District 10 from the 2028 class. He also rebounds better than his size might suggest. He has great rebounding anticipation and gets to the right spot before everyone else. Nixon is a big game player and a proven winner. The McDowell guard has the confidence and the ability to pile up points when he finds a rhythm. But he is becoming much more than a shooter. Pinczewski gained varsity experience as a sophomore on a deep McDowell team that finished 17-6. He showed he could produce some big offensive performances when called upon. But his development over the summer is why his stock is rising. He has put significant work into developing a more complete guard game.
