The Florida Expo Standouts, First Five

This past Sunday a number of junior and senior prospects came together to compete at the Prep Hoops Expo at Seminole Sports Academy in Longwood, FL. A lot of great basketball was played, and a number of prospects saw their stock rise with their performances. Let's now take a closer look at some of the players who stood out.

Reyes put on a quite a show at the Expo this past weekend. The rising senior is a strong, physical prospect who uses his body to his advantage and is a force on the boards. He has an excellent outside shot where he can stretch the defense, but can also beat you down low in the post. He is a vocal prospect with a great attitude, who just plays the game right. Reyes at times couldn't miss from behind the arc and led his team to victory in game one.

A quick, athletic prospect, Loggins, was a tremendous two-way player throughout the day. He has a nice smooth stroke from deep, which he shoots a very high rate. He is very efficient when attacking the basket, and has an excellent mid-range game with his pull up jumper. His size and length allow him to guard multiple positions on defense, and rebounds the ball very well as a guard.

A quick and shifty guard, Bell, was all over the court throughout the event. The 5'8" PG plays the game fast yet under control, and never takes a play off. He attacks the basket with no fear, and if left open he has the ability to knock down the open three. He's a scrappy guard on defense, and has both quick feet and quick hands, where he has a real knack for forcing steals and turning defense into offense.

Martinez was very impressive throughout the day on both sides of the ball. He is an excellent defender who does a tremendous job staying in front of his opponent. He is quick off the floor and has exceptional leaping ability for a prospect his size, where he was very active on the boards on both sides of the court. He was very effective attacking the paint and and finding the open man, and was also showing great elevation on his mid-range game which he was knocking down consistently.

Delvalle has an excellent basketball IQ and elite handles, making him a true floor general whenever he is on the court. The 5'11" CG has great court vision and was always looking to get his teammates involved. He has a quick first step and was very successful creating his own shot and attacking the basket. Delvalle is a strong, physical defender who seems to pride himself on that side of the ball.
