The Expo: Team 8 Evals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Expo the other weekend was a huge success, once again. We had over 90 athletes attend the boys expo and some of the best in the 2027 and 2028 classes competed against each other. Here's the evaluation for team 8.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#240 - [player_tooltip player_id='2392951' first='Sudan' last='Luok'] - Renton HS </strong></em>- Sudan was a top performer and easily one of the most athletic players at the showcase. He used his length nicely by getting to his spots and being able to attack gaps and get to the rim smoothly. His handles are nice and he can wasn't afraid at going at anyone to get buckets from all 3 levels. He threw down some big dunks during 5v5 play, getting paint touches often. His natural scoring and playmaking abilities showed throughout the day and he has all the capabilities to be a D1 player. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#242 - [player_tooltip player_id='2935305' first='Kelan' last='Moore'] - Mt Spokane HS </strong></em>- Kelan is a player who is going to have a big season next year. Moore knows how to use his body to position himself in the right places for him to succeed and get buckets. He stays balanced down low and can finish through contact at a high level and knows how to adjust his body. He knocked down jumpers from all 3 levels too, staying ready at all times. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#244 - [player_tooltip player_id='2391500' first='Isaiah' last='Englund'] - Auburn HS</strong></em> - Isaiah is another high flying wing who stood out during the expo. Englund uses his length to get his shot off over opposing players, rising high and having a perfect release point on his jumpers. He rebounded the ball well throughout the day too, using his athleticism to rise above defenders to grab the ball off the rim. He has continued to improve his ability to create on the perimeter and get buckets in different ways, which was on full display at the expo. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#245 - [player_tooltip player_id='2716621' first='Cole' last='Floyd'] - Ferris HS </strong></em>- Cole was another top standout from the day and really showcased his ability to be effective in all aspects on the court. He defended well, moving his feet quickly and had a couple of nice blocks during the day. He can create for his teammates just as well as getting his own buckets, always staying unselfish on the court. His offensive game has really continued to become more and more well rounded, being able to score by utilizing his dribble or can work out of the post really efficiently. He is a player college coaches need to have on their radar. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#301 - [player_tooltip player_id='2927905' first='Walker' last='Cleary'] - Lewis &amp; Clark HS</em></strong> - Walker stayed fundamental throughout the expo, being able to stay balanced and always play off two feet inside the paint. Cleary was strong down low too, being able to show his strength down low and rebound the ball well for his size. He utilized his speed perfectly in transition, sneaking out and getting quick buckets for his team. He was a fun player to watch who brought the energy the whole day. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#304 - [player_tooltip player_id='2955300' first='Donovan' last='Smith'] - River Ridge HS </strong></em>- Smith was a high IQ player who continued to make effective plays for his team throughout the day. He always put himself in the right spot and seemed to know what he was going to do with the ball before it even came to him. His speed was noticeable on the defensive end, recovering quickly and being able to get back in transition quickly. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#307 - [player_tooltip player_id='3730922' first='Jordan' last='Brock'] - Auburn Riverside HS</strong></em> - Brock did a great job at running the court on both ends, getting back in transition but also pushing the pace well for his squad. He comes off screens nicely, using the correct angles to attack gaps and get his teammates open. He can hit jumpers too, always being ready to shoot. He brought the energy throughout the day and didn't take any plays off, always going 100%.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
