Team 5

[player_tooltip player_id='3767916' first='Sherrod' last='Magee Jr'] 5-8 2027 Arts & Technology Academy of Pontiac Small but very fast point guard put together a strong day. Got after it on the defensive end. Showed good lateral quickness and good anticipation in passing lanes. Offensively was jet quick with the ball in his hands. Attacked the basket without fear and was able to score in amongst the trees. Along with fellow camp participant [player_tooltip player_id='3778489' first='Deshaun' last='Payton Jr'] adds depth to what will be the most talented backcourt in Division III.

[player_tooltip player_id='3627552' first='Joseph' last='Arnold'] 5-10 2028 Dearborn Divine Child After a strong spring and summer with D Rice Elite. Arnold continued his strong play into the fall. Outstanding ball handler with above average change of direction ability. Good kick out passer off of penetration. Seemed to have knack of knowing where his open shooters were. Especially in the 3x3 portion of the camp. When the camp shifted to 5-on-5 scrimmages he was able to show his speed and acceleration in the open court. Part of a strong Divine Child contingent at the camp. As the trigger man at the point. Arnold might be the x-factor for this squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2527369' first='Lou' last='Gressett'] 6-2 2028 North Muskegon It was good to see this player back out on the court on Saturday. I had not seen him in a while after catching a lot him in his freshman year. A composed combo guard. Has the ball handling and passing ability to be a point. But is also a good shooter and has a nose for the basket. Good penetrator who plays off of two feet when he gets into the lane. Creative ball handler and passer who sees the court well. A gridiron standout who is back at North Muskegon after a stint with storied Big Red program to the South. the upside is there, and he has a chance to be one of the top players in Division III by next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2875428' first='Keeson' last='Trevino'] 6-2 2028 Battle Creek Harper Creek (pictured) I caught Trevino a lot this summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2269794' first='United' last='Persuit']. On that squad he played a role as a primary scorer and playmaker. On Saturday, with a team that had other playmakers, he was able to show off the three point shooting chops... and show them off he did. Was automatic from beyond the arc. Has a unique release but it is repeatable and is certainly efficient. More than just a stand still shooter. Relocates well off the ball and finds openings. Catches the ball in the shooting motion and gets it up quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='2848488' first='Jacob' last='Seyffert'] 6-4 2028 Byron Center First time catching this player extensively. As this list shows. There was not a lot of size on his team. He held up well in the post despite it not looking like his natural position. Walled up at the rim and showed good elevation. Scored both at the basket and out on the perimeter. During the 3x3 portion did more work down on the block. In the up and down 5-on-5 scrimmages he moved out to the perimeter. Showed a smooth left handed release from beyond the arc. Also showed ability as a movement shooter. Was a good athlete and light on his feet for 6-4.

[player_tooltip player_id='2539724' first='Demetrio' last='Dockery'] 5-10 2028 Muskegon Very "strong" day for the Big Red point guard. I used the quatations intentionally. What a power guard should like. Wide bodied frame but with plenty of quickness. Once in the lane sought on contact. Often finishing through it. Kept defenders honest with a nice touch from beyond the arc. While scoring was not a problem. Is a point guard all the way. Plays with his head up and got his team into sets, or as close as you are going to see to sets in a setting like this. Should have a opprotunity to expands his role on a Big Red squad that graduated quite a bit of productuon.

[player_tooltip player_id='2442778' first='Pierce' last='Westerlund'] 6-2 2027 Whitehall As you can see, the Lakeshore region was well represented on this squad. I have seen this wing many times with Hardwood Midwest in grassroots basketball. He is normally a strong shooter with a thick upper body and strong frame. Didn't shoot it as well as I have usually seen in the past. However that allowed to show off other parts of his game. His frame appeared to have slimmed down. Helped him be a factor defensively and in a position to be a playmaker. Stayed in motion off the ball and showed the ability to get open.

Team 6

[player_tooltip player_id='3775115' first='Ariston' last='Dallas'] 6-0 2027 Owosso Heady point guard with good size for the position. Competed hard on the defensive end and made winning plays. The defense was aided by an athletic frame. Didn't back down from anyone and kept coming all day. Owosso might have a unique bi-generational backcourt. As Dallas and similliar 2030 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='3685885' first='Landon' last='Hulik'] could be dynamic duo.

[player_tooltip player_id='2959030' first='Cameron' last='Tiffany'] 6-0 2028 Edwardsburg Listed in the program at 6-0. Personally, I thought he looked a little bigger. Definitely played bigger. Primarily the size came from a thick upper body. I would not be surprised if he is a contributor on the Eddies (great mascot) standout gridiron. Featured that type of physicality. Competed hard on the defensive end. Part of strong junior class at Edwardsburg.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140482' first='Chayse' last='Calvin'] 6-0 2027 Plymouth Ann Arbor area guard played well in the 3x3 portion of the camp. Showed the ability to drive to both sides. Not sure what his dominant hand is. But he looked most comfortable going to his left. Good ball handler who showed sudden acceleration to the rim. Good live dribble passer who played well in pick and roll situations.

[player_tooltip player_id='3594002' first='Cameron' last='Weinkein'] 6-5 2028 Grand Rapids Forrest Hills Northern One the true surprises of the camp for me. I did not get a chance to see his AAU squad play in the summer. Consequently, this was a new name for me. Very impressed with this prototype of a modern stretch four. Best shooting big men in the camp by a pretty healthy margin. There was a lot to like about his shot. Had a trigger quick release without much a dip or wasted motion. You don't often see that from big guys. Left handed with a high release point that made his shot hard to block. Range extended to well beyond the three point line. The shooting really shined during the 3x3 portion of the camp. During the 5-on-5 scrimmages showed the ability to score on the low block. Showed good footwork and well schooled post moves. Should form a good frontline next season with fellow Huskie and camp participant [player_tooltip player_id='2422855' first='Michael' last='Armour'] (6-9)

[player_tooltip player_id='2929248' first='Colt' last='Maynard'] 5-9 2027 Goodrich Small Flint area guard who aggressively played bigger than his listed height. Not a blur, but quick enough to get past defenders with the dribble. Was especially aggressive when switched onto bigger players. This is an example of the type of court sense that he plays with. Also kept defenders honest with deep range from the perimeter. Didn't need much room to get it off either. Coming off a strong AAU run with Shoebox Elite. Could be lined up for a big season with a talented Martian squad that will be breaking in a new coach and system.

[player_tooltip player_id='2471568' first='Camden' last='Currie'] 6-2 2028 Ann Arbor Skyline Like clockwork, another prospect showcase, another player from the Ann Abor Public School district who impressed me. Lengthy wing with sudden explosiveness. Was good at getting to his spots in the mid range. Able to elevate over defenders with quick elevation. Good defender who used a lanky frame and above average lateral quickness to get into passing lanes. With Skyline coming off a bit of a down year. There is some good talent to build around. You can add Currie to that expanding list.
