The Expo: Team 4 Evals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> The Expo the other weekend was a huge success, once again. We had over 90 athletes attend the boys expo and some of the best in the 2027 and 2028 classes competed against each other. Here's the evaluation for team 4.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#77 - [player_tooltip player_id='2746873' first='Tyler' last='Marlow'] - Shorewood HS </strong></em>- Tyler plays beyond his years in my eyes. He was very fundamental, playing off two feet after getting deep in the paint and staying composed when working in the mid-range to get his shots off. His footwork was excellent when working down low but also when he was coming off screens and setting his feet for his jumper. He was a standout from the day and is poised for a massive season this year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#114 - [player_tooltip player_id='2543842' first='Adam' last='Desta'] - Mountlake Terrace HS </em></strong>- Adam was a bucket getter throughout the showcase, which is normal for him. Desta knows how to get to his spot and does a fantastic job at setting his feet quickly to get his shot off over defenders. He uses his length to his advantage too, being able to finish athletically around the rim and get to the bucket smoothly. Adam was a high level playmaker on the court during 5v5 play and will have a big season next year. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#356 - [player_tooltip player_id='2835724' first='Kyler' last='Skogstad'] - Bellevue Christian HS</strong></em> - Kyler is a high level player who has really continued to define his game in a big way. He stays composed and knows how to get to his spots, effectively getting buckets all day long during the showcase. He knows how to use his strength did score the ball from all 3 levels at a high percentage. His deep shot is quick and he hit multiple during 5v5 play, hitting some off the catch, some off the dribble, or even in transition. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#201 - [player_tooltip player_id='2956000' first='Jaiden' last='Walcolm'] - Skyline HS</strong></em> - Jaiden was fantastic at attacking the ball and getting down-hill, smoothly getting paint touches throughout the whole day. His strength was showed off when he used his body to bump opposing players when attacking. He drained jumpers too, always staying ready to let it shoot if opposing teams leave him open. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#220 - [player_tooltip player_id='2920483' first='Djibril' last='Garcia'] - Jackson HS </strong></em>- Garcia was one of the most dominant players from the showcase. He used his strength to grab rebounds with ease, out-body players, and showcase his soft touch around the rim. Djibril's footwork stayed smooth throughout the day, being able to get open and not have many players matchup to him efficiently. He rose above the rim too and wasn't afraid to dunk on someone if they left the opportunity open. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#321 - [player_tooltip player_id='2548220' first='Walter' last='Pond'] - Kennedy Catholic HS</strong></em> - Walter's speed with the ball in his hands was just as effective as him moving off ball, keeping the ball on a string and facilitating the offense at an elite level. His ability to get in the paint, using a variety of moves to get down-hill and get paint touches. Pond knocks down shots too, as he stayed ready to let it fly when defenders are sagging off of him.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>#326 - [player_tooltip player_id='2548211' first='Luis' last='Blanco-Black'] - Silas HS</em></strong> - Luis played with great anticipation throughout the day, knowing what he is going to do next with the ball before he even gets it. His composed nature pays off when he has the ball in his hands, always choosing the right play to make. His offensive game was well rounded and improved at the expo so I am looking forward to seeing how the season pays off. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>#341 - [player_tooltip player_id='2965235' first='Ryland' last='Daniel'] - Juanita HS</strong></em> - Ryland made some solid plays throughout the day, including some beautiful passes to open teammates. He made the extra pass when teammates were open, showing unselfish play on the court. Daniel moved his feet onn the defensive side quickly and was able to keep opposing players in front of him when defending. He brought the energy and was continued to stay active throughout the day.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
