Sophomore ID Camp: Team 6 Evals

We had another solid showing at the Sophomore ID Camp this year, getting to know a ton of new players and seeing some major progression from guys we haven't seen in a bit. Let's take a look at Team 6 and highlight how they performed at the camp.    Sidhu did a lot of unselfish things at the camp that don't show up in the box score. He was willing to make extra passes to get the ball into space, moved well off the ball, whether it was creating kick out lanes for drivers or getting involved in weak side actions. Also showed some hustle to track down long rebounds and loose balls.     Borden had some crafty moments handling the rock and finding ways to get by his man and attack gaps. Played with a low center of gravity, was on balanced and able to get in and out of his moves pretty well, which resulted in some nice attacks and finishes.     Karani really embraced the 3&D role at the event. He was applying stout ball pressure, forcing errors, getting a few steals, and playing with energy on that side of the ball. Offensively, he was knocking down corner three after corner three, did a great job working to get to the spot in transition and lining up for kickouts off drives. He also showed some toughness finishing inside and played with good pace across the games.     Was pretty impressed with Washington's performance at the camp. Showed a pretty complete offensive profile, scoring from each level, using some physicality to separate in the midrange, get to the rim. Definitely has the ability to put the ball in the bucket but also showed some tenacity defensively when his team started applying more full court pressure and forced some turnovers that led to quick buckets.     Zimmerman is a smooth shooter from 3-point range who showed consistent shot-making off the catch. Was also in the right spot at the right time for some offensive rebounds and was able to go back up and score. Did a good job getting involved off the ball too, setting some key down screens to free up shooters and help get his teammates space to operate.     Lunzer really played a physical style of ball at the event, and his strength was a big factor that helped him find success. Was able to get around the paint with a lot of his touches and showed the soft touch and control to finish over and through defenders in a variety of ways. Used the glass really well and was able to score from just about any angle inside. Played hard throughout the day, racked up rebounds on both ends, and showed the potential to stretch the floor too.     Mills was another kid who brought some strength to the floor in a couple of different ways. Really liked to get going downhill and attack out of positions of strength. Strong enough to handle some contact on his drives and also showed some scrappiness on the boards that led to some nice second chance buckets.     Worley was a really nice surprise at the camp. Didn't see a lot of him with West Valley last winter but he definitely looks like a kid who could contribute in a meaningful way this coming season. Has the size and enough athleticism to get out on the break, run the floor, and finish at the rim. Also hit at a good enough rate from deep to be a kid with some size who can help stretch the floor. Loved his hustle too, whether it was competing on defense, running the floor, or working on the glass.     Sager is another kid who could end up being a solid contributor this winter. Played with a good mix of skill and awareness that helped him impact the game in several ways. Was a confident outside shooter with a good stroke, had some toughness to finish through bodies at the rim, and powered his way in for some offensive rebounds. Will be a kid to watch at Selah who should help bolster their squad this winter.     Smith played with a lot of energy throughout the day. Was a ready defender, showed some fight to get deflections and fight around some post ups to steal entry passes. Made well-timed backdoor cuts against some denials, and did well to pass out of double teams.
