Texas Sophomore ID Camp: Glass Cleaners

Rebounding may be seen as boring to some, but it certainly isn't viewed that way by scouts and coaches. It's crucial to victory and often comes paired with several other skills in a player's all-around game. The student athletes below showed major effort on the glass while dominating the game in multiple other areas as well.    Aidan is an aggressive, active combo guard that is a beast on the glass on both ends of the floor. An impressive thing to do at his size, the way he stacks rebounds is more accredited to his heart and hustle than anything. He has great anticipation when it comes to opposing passing lanes and can snatch steals and lead the fast break the other way for automatic buckets. He's not afraid to sacrifice his body and he's a vocal communicator on the floor that can beat his opposition in a multi-faceted manner.     Jayden is a long, smart forward that makes his presence felt on both ends of the floor consistently. He can get to the rim with ease and isn't afraid to get tangled with an opponent of any size. He's fantastic on the glass on both ends, racking up boards with regularity and getting extra possessions in the process. He has great recognition when it comes to getting the ball to his streakers in prime scoring position. He's a nice finisher in the paint and never gives up on plays.     James is a solid, skilled player that has the ability to bang bodies down low and finesse shots beautifully from beyond the arc. He's a vocal leader and communicates with his teammates throughout his games effectively. He uses his size to dominate the glass and rack up second-chance opportunities easily. He stretches the floor incredibly well with his shooting accuracy and his ability to identify good opportunities. He consistently makes the right decisions and elevates his own play along with the play of his teammates.     Kron is a clever, high-motor guard that always seems to be at the right place at the right times on the floor. He's excellent on the fast break, whether that means him taking it to the house himself or following closely behind to beast on the offensive glass for an easy second-chance opportunity. He's consistently involved down low and he's an excellent finisher at the rim. He never shies from contact and has the ability to finish through it to rack up extra points at the charity stripe.     Danny is a high-flying, active forward that makes a significant impact in the paint on both ends of the floor. His verticality is impressive and he uses it to go straight up and grab boards with regularity and ease. He's a perfect lob target and he has a nice shooting touch on his drives as well, causing more shots to fall than not. He picks up opponents off the floor when they've fallen and leads by example when it comes to sportsmanship. He's highly effective on both ends and a great running mate for skilled guards.
