Standouts from the Expo

Class of 2028 is deep and Bossell is one of many guards in it with a likely D1 future. Was scoring focused at the camp, which is a sign of the role he will likely carry this winter for the Chargers. Is clearly putting in work to become a more consistent shooting, while his combination of size and athleticism often allow him to get wherever he wants off the bounce. There were flashes of plays on defense and passing that indicate the potential all around nature of his game. The potential is there for Bossell to elevate himself into the top tier of the loaded 2028 class.     Thompson just keeps stacking days and is one of the top highlight reel players in the state. Glides around the court, especially in transition. Either skying for alley oops or taking off to tear down the rim himself. Along with his highlight reel plays, he's reliable spot up shooter on defense. Which gives him an early path to next level contribution as a potential "3 and D" prospect. The key will be gradually adding strength to his skinny frame. And playing with an outstanding motor on the defensive end. As blocks, steals and playing with energy on defense will matter as much if not more than big time dunks to college coaches.     Snell looked the part of a hungry senior, who is focused on adding to the tradition for Douglass. He communicated throughout the camp, encouraging teammates and talking on the defensive end. His motor ran hot too, with prideful and tough defense. While being aggressive in transition and getting downhill in the half court. Balanced driving to score himself while also creating for teammates. For the last two years, Snell has been a tough playing, doing the little things for Douglass during a semifinal appearance and runner up finish in 4A. Now in order for the Trojans to take another Gold Ball, he looks ready to be a leader.     One of the breakout players of June team camps, Alexander is next up among 918 lead guards. Has is a quick first step in the half court, and is speedy in transition. Complete with good lift around the rim, helping him finish bigger than his size. Confident shooting when pulling up in the dribble. Has the full package as a heart over height guard to help Booker T Washington make the transition to 6A.     Stewart is one of the top candidates for a junior breakout and he looked the part at the Expo. Natural wing, he's one of the rare Oklahoma players who possibly could translate his three level scoring to the next level. Has a crafty throwback mid-range game, complete with turnaround jumpers. A willingness to punish smaller foes on the block and being too skilled for bigs could make him one of the biggest mismatches in 5A. Looked to have taken advantage of skill development and daily practice vs older college bound players at Terra Verde. Very eager to see how that work translates production wise at Noble.     Speaking of transfer juniors who could play big roles for potential 5A State Tournament teams, Cline was impressive at the camp. Big body guard/wing, with good natural athleticism. Elevates quickly off the ground, leading to smooth pull up jumpers. The same elevation gives him the ability to erase shots on defense. Of unfamiliar players at this camp, Cline was one of the best to make his presence known. One of the top names to watch in early season action, to see if his impressive play in the wide open nature of a camp and translate to the 5A levle.
