Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase | Team 5 Evals

There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are the prospect evaluations for Team 5 from the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase.   ***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. If your team's evaluation article gets posted and you were NOT included please connect with Brandon Ramsey on Twitter or via email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com and he will take care of the mistake.***    Smaller Guard at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase that was a scrappy defender and played with good effort all camp. [player_tooltip player_id='2866909' first='Keegan' last='Lewis'] ran the point well being unselfish. When off the ball he made some really nice cuts to the basket. Really like his court vision on drives. He didn't get too deep and made the right reads when he needed to. Played with zero fear and a lot of heart going out     [player_tooltip player_id='3596632' first='Caidyn' last='Amos'] is a lengthy wing that had some really nice moments at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Really nice shooter on the catch with a clean release. Excellent floor spacer that also showed he's capable of driving closeouts and had some nice finishes around the basket. Has defensive upside with his length and also rebounded it well all camp.     Vocal lead guard out of Mishawaka that made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. [player_tooltip player_id='3755523' first='Brian' last='Dancler'] is a stocky guard that pushes the tempo and thrives on getting downhill. He's able to play through contact well and showed he's capable of finishing around the basket in a variety of different ways. He was an absolute pest defensively pressuring full court with active hands and turned defense into offense on a number of occasions.     Big time performer at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase came in the form of Homestead Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3713941' first='Cameron' last='Scott']. From the opening tip of 5v5 he asserted himself as one of the top playmakers at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase. Shifty guard that was able to get in the lane seemingly at will. He was disruptive on the defensive end of the floor and was excellent pushing in transition. Definitely a name to keep an eye on in the Fort Wayne Area.     When it comes down to pure production, not many guys got it done better than [player_tooltip player_id='2539085' first='Drey' last='Jones'] out of Kokomo. He's a physical wing/forward with good feel that simply made winning plays all camp long. Was really good getting downhill and finishing around the basket and had intriguing playmaking ability with an unselfish mindset.     The Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase wasn't the first time I got to evaluate the 6'1” wing out of Seymour. [player_tooltip player_id='2971074' first='Jordan' last='Meyer'] does a really good of just letting the game come to him. He has the ability to impact games without having to score. Skilled wing with good court vision and a hard nosed defender that guards multiple positions and rebounds.     Intriguing wing out of Richmond with good size and feel on the offensive end. [player_tooltip player_id='3729697' first='Jack' last='Kohn'] was active and impactful with his length and physicality as a matchup problem in the midrange and low post area. High motor prospect with the ability to play inside-out as a floor spacer as well as finish around the basket. One to keep an eye on for the Red Devils.
