Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase – Team 3 Evaluations

However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys &amp; Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Kendle turned the heads of everyone in the gym on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase with an impressive tip dunk. The athletic 6'1" wing came crashing in from the perimeter and threw it down with one hand. He continued to utilize his athleticism while attacking closeouts and finishing at the rim. He immediately caught our attention during 3-on-3 play by creating his own shot off of the dribble and make some tough perimeter jump shots. The 5'8" guard may be small in stature right now, but he is aggressive and fearless with the ball in his hands. King is both a shot-creator and shot-maker from the point guard position. He is a true combo guard in the backcourt and had his skills on display both on and off of the ball at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. The 6'0" guard has the playmaking ability to serve as the point guard and create shots for himself and his teammates. However, that didn't keep him from standing out on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Brown is a strong, physical guard that is really hard to stop when he gets downhill. He is a great finisher at the end of his drives, but also very capable as a shot-maker from the mid-range and out beyond the arc. Parsons was able to settle into his role as a facilitator and active defender. One of his highlights came via a steal that led to a beautiful assist in transition. The 5'11" point guard from Brebeuf Jesuit is an excellent ball handler, good and willing passer, and has the skill to create his own scoring opportunities off of the bounce. He will definitely be one to follow in the coming years as some more opportunity opens up in the Brebeuf backcourt. One of his highlights while we were watching was an offensive rebound putback where he crashed hard from the perimeter. Then, he was excellent outletting the ball up the floor off of the defensive glass as well. The 6'2" guard stretches the floor well as a shooting threat and was able to attack closeouts as well. At the end of his drives his size and length came in handy as a finisher. The 6'0" guard has a smooth jump shot that keeps defenses honest out on the perimeter, but then can explode downhill and finish at the rim. His ball skill makes it very difficult for opposing defenders to ever feel comfortable guarding him. The 6'2" guard from Leo High School knocked in a couple of catch-and-shoot three-point shots from different spots on the floor while we were evaluating him. He has good positional size, a quick release, and sound footwork on the perimeter.
