OK Top 250 Expo Notes Part 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wow what a great turnout of athletes this Sunday at Oklahoma Top 250 Expo. I enjoyed the opportunity to cover the boys side of Prep Hoops. A Wide range of talent that I am seeing for the first time. Versatility would be a great way to describe this guard. Smooth outside shot off the catch or catch and read. When ran off the line showed a nice pull up jumper with great lift on the shot. In the open floor used a nice dribble crossover to turn the corner and attack the rim. Moved great off the ball crashing the board to get several put backs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Made notes with her size, hops, and scoring at different levels. Shot the ball with accuracy from the 3-point line. Feet were down on the catch with a nice follow through. Throughout the play which was several games Riley seemed in control on the drive getting paint touches in all the games. A nice change of speed when getting to the paint allowed him to read the defense. Good finishes with off hand at the rim to avoid the block.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liked the IQ on defense as he was in help position, Understand man and ball showing early help rotation. Impressive was how he was always getting ahead on the breaks or moving consistently cutting to the rim. Good hands on the catch and finishing off two feet for control and to take the hit. Showed great versatility as multiple times during play he also posted up finishing with a nice drop step. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Owen made my notes with his ability to shoot outside and post up smaller defenders on the block. Tough defender that gave up no space when defending on the block against a bigger player. Showed outside shooting knocking down several 3's in the game I watched. Smooth shooter from beyond the 3-point line that can get to the rim when ran off the line. Nice pull up jumper at the mid-range when ran off the line. Showcase several big time when on the stop and pop inside the paint. Finished with a turn around move and nice jump hook. Made good decisions with the ball in his hands making several nice passes off the drives reading the defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly ranked player that from what I watched could possibly rise in the ranks with a strong junior season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
