NW HoopSource HS Fall League Weekend 2 – Top Performers (III)

HoopSource HS Fall League had a number of varsity games at both Liberty and Tualatin and Ramsay Neu had the opportunity to catch some action. Here are some more of the top performers.

Reports written by Ramsay Neu

Scottie single handedly lead the Tigers to victory against Beaverton in his first game. He dropped over 20 points while also guarding at a high level, and leading too. His best play came at the end of the game when he picked the ball out of a Beaverton players hands and got a wide open layup on the other end, sealing the game with 20 seconds left.

Lindsey is really good at 2 things: driving and kicking. The amount of paint touches he got throughout the game was phenomenal, and even though the Cardinals lost by 30, he was definitely the bright light on their team. He also was locking down the perimeter, using his running back build to his advantage.

Wherever you looked on the court, it seemed King was there. Whether it was a loose ball, rebound coming off the rim, or just the other team dribbling, somehow King was always on top of it trying to make a defensive play. That also meant he was on the ground all the time too. Overall one of the best motors I saw all day.

Elijah's little brother was doing everything for South Eugene, including getting offensive boards, running the offense, and scoring in every way. With his older brother and the Axeman's starting point guard both missing, his ability to step up for his team was really important. He is gonna be really good.

Kei has a clear best ability, and that's his perimeter defensive ability. I watched him pick up 80 feet too many times to count, and he also has some shooting chops to him. He's a great 3 and D guy that will help the Apollos win games next year.
