The New Jersey Legacy Fall Ball League remains one of the state's premier fall ball leagues, with this past Tuesday's action having taken place at Cicely L. Tyson High School in East Orange, NJ. With Tuesday night's games in the books, let's take a look at some of the prospects who caught our attention. In this matchup against Newark Collegiate, [player_tooltip player_id='2763609' first='Jake' last='Ellis'] pushed the tempo early and often with a clear emphasis on getting out and scoring in transition— generating a large amount of rim pressure while at the same time maintaining his court vision in the open floor. Ellis offered additional production in different half court actions— efficiency as a spot up shooter off the ball, stepping into in rhythm looks with balance and confidence coupled with high IQ PnR navigation, specifically highlighted by his ability to split the defense for tough finishes at the basket in traffic. Yahya impressed particularly with his activity around the basket— an effective back to the basket game in the low post, extending possessions on the offensive glass, and even quick decision making in the short roll and his face up game when reading help defense. Highlighted particularly by good footwork and solid overall touch around the basket.     Filling a major need in the frontcourt while offering the versatility to impact the game both inside and on the perimeter, [player_tooltip player_id='3700793' first='Aleksandar' last='Kovacevic'], offered several encouraging flashes of what his impact could look like over the next few months as he fully assimilates to this St. Mary group— winning rebounding battles on the boards with his sheer size, initiating the break and handling the ball in the open floor, low post scoring with his back to the basket game, and even effectiveness as a roller in different ball screen actions.     [player_tooltip player_id='2966035' first='Kaden' last='Aiken'] continued to be extremely effective on the interior, displaying the instincts and physical tools that fuel his efficient production around the rim. Aiken got going early on converting on a number of inside looks— rolling fast and hard out of ball screens, extending possessions through his rebounding and finishing on the offensive glass, banana cutting in the short corner area to convert on dump offs from penetrating guards all while also showing a strong comfort attacking closeouts off the bounce and getting to the mid range area. Already having firmly established himself as a dangerous perimeter shooting threat, [player_tooltip player_id='2391282' first='Avery' last='George']'s three point shooting remains the foundational pillar of his offensive impact, and he did nothing but reaffirm that strength in this early fall ball matchup against Bayonne. George took advantage of moments when the defense was unable to locate him in the secondary break, knocking down catch and shoot threes with a smooth rhythm and clear confidence and proving him to be a reliable floor spacer that stretches the defense.     One of the bigger revelations on the day, particularly with the healthy balance in which he scored the basketball, was [player_tooltip player_id='3765159' first='Stageon' last='King']. King delivered an impressive performance that demonstrated his ability to offer a complimentary scoring pop without necessarily breaking the flow of the offense— attacking driving angles off the bounce for tough and crafty finishes at the basket, off the dribble shot making when the defense was late to contest, and even generating rim pressure in transition opportunities.
