MSHTV Camp: 6th Grade Standouts (Point Guards)

Westfield, IN — The 11th annual MSHTV Camp featured talented young prospects from across the country, giving our staff an opportunity to evaluate players across several age groups throughout the 2026 camp. As our coverage continues, we turn to the Class of 2033 and a collection of point guards who played well throughout the competition. The group featured floor generals who created for teammates, handled the ball against pressure, made quality decisions and also found ways to produce as scorers when opportunities were available. Here is a closer look at some of the top point guards from the Class of 2033 at the MSHTV Camp...    Gerald Boone established himself as one of the better passers at the MSHTV Camp, consistently creating quality opportunities for those around him. He sees plays develop early and has a knack for passing teammates open rather than simply finding them once they are available. Boone is also a capable scorer who can create his own offense, but he rarely forces the issue and consistently makes the correct read with the basketball. His unselfish approach, decision-making and ability to balance scoring with facilitating made him an effective lead guard throughout the camp.     Braxston Butler put together a strong offensive showing at the MSHTV Camp with the skill set to create in several ways. He is shifty with the ball, changes direction well and uses his handle to work his way into scoring opportunities. Butler has good court vision and recognizes openings for teammates when the defense shifts toward him. He is also a creative finisher around the basket and a capable three-point shooter, giving him a well-rounded offensive game from the point guard position.     Keichan McFall played with plenty of creativity at the MSHTV Camp while still maintaining control as a lead guard. His advanced handle allowed him to break defenders down off the dribble, using quick combinations and changes of direction to create advantages. McFall played with some flash to his game, but rarely allowed it to take away from his effectiveness with the basketball. He also saw the floor well, recognizing passing lanes and creating opportunities for teammates once he drew additional defensive attention.     Kajay Rodney was a composed and skilled point guard at the MSHTV Camp, consistently making good decisions with the basketball. He was effective in the open floor, where he could push the pace while remaining under control and reading the defense. Rodney also attacked the basket with confidence, using his craftiness to get inside and the toughness to finish through contact. His ability to knock down shots from three-point range added another element to his offense, while his decision-making allowed him to consistently make the right play.     Amir Stevens played with an advanced feel at the MSHTV Camp, operating with patience and consistently staying a step ahead of the defense. He delivered accurate passes and understood when to create for teammates without overhandling the basketball. Stevens was equally effective as a perimeter threat, knocking down three-point shots and forcing defenders to respect him away from the basket. His combination of composure, shooting, passing and understanding of pace made him difficult to contain from the point guard position.    Stay tuned for more from Coast 2 Coast Preps!
