KY Expo '26: Team 10 Standouts

The Prep Hoops Kentucky Expo brought talent from across the state to Louisville this past Sunday. Over 85 athletes were divided into 10 teams for 5-on-5 action. Team 10 went undefeated. Here's a look at a few of its most impactful guys:    Noah wasn't only one of the best big men at the KY Expo, he was one of the best prospects in the building regardless of position. He likely averaged a double-double on the day in 5v5 play due to his sheer dominance around the rim. He isn't the tallest at the 4/5 positions but his frame, footwork, and touch help him play much bigger than what he is. All of which made his ability to step out and knock down shots from deep that much more impressive. His efficiency was the deciding factor in Team 10's journey to going undefeated and landed him on my <a href="https://prephoops.com/2026/09/ky-expo-26-doneahs-top-performers/">Top Performers</a> list.     On a team with a surefire athlete, a dominant big man, and a competent point guard, Colt operated as the do-it-all engine for Team 10. He might've had the best stamina on the court which allowed him to fulfill whatever role needed to win. He checked off all the boxes at his position by knocking down open shots, contributing on the boards, and running the offense when need be, all of which he did very well. His sturdiness and mobility as a shot creator stood out throughout the day, allowing him to wiggle his way to his spots and absorb contact along the way. I expect Colt to contribute in a significant capacity for the new-look Shamrocks this upcoming season.     I wasn't familiar with Bentley before his performances at the KY Expo this past Sunday but he left an impression. He has a natural feel and looked comfortable both as a facilitator and a shot creator. He exceled at reading the defense in the half court, often times using a hesi float dribble to confuse his defender and get all the way to the rim. He also showcased his ability to pull up from long distance off the dribble, especially when his defender sagged off too much in pick-and-roll situations. A high IQ, a tight handle, a smooth shooting form... there was a lot to like about Bentley's game.     Levi is a hooper, plain and simple, and arguably had the highest upside of any prospect on Team 10's roster. If not, he was surely the most athletic. He attempted a plethora of dunks that made the crowd hold its breath. While he didn't connect on as many poster attempts as he would've hoped, his dedication towards doing so could foreshadow a season spent above the rim at Jeffersontown this winter. What he did do very well at the KY Expo, however, is get to the rim using one or two quick twitch moves and finish considerably difficult layups on a consistent basis. Developing as a catch-and-shoot threat from distance could take his game to another level.     I was impressed with Nolan's shooting abilities throughout the day at the KY Expo. His team featured several high-volume shot takers so there weren't many opportunities for Nolan's shot creation to shine but when his time did come he made the best of it. His confidence with shooting off the dribble stood out as did his smooth shooting form. He's a lefty who shot the ball the same way every rep, showcasing nice elevation and snap of the wrist. Beyond his ability to stretch the floor as a shooting threat, Nolan was also willing to put the ball on the hardwood and attack the gaps as needed. He finished well over taller defenders when he did so.
