Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (HHCA) thrashed ISM Saturday in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event was Grind Session Power Play-in. Essentially the event sorted non-scholastic teams into a top conference and a lower conference for the forthcoming Grind Session season (winter). HHCA hopes to play in the top group because all of those games are streamed thereby giving the players better opportunities to be seen by recruiters.

9/26/26: Winner. Cheick does everything the coach needs and more. He provides all the good things Draymond Green did: hustle, power, rebounding, defense, spirit, energy, fight. He is an undersized (under-height) 4-man. Do not look for him to hit many 18'+ jumpers though he buried a beauty in secondary transition late in the first quarter Saturday. His nautral habitat is under the rim. Coulibaly will set a hard sceen and dive, but he is not consistent threat shooting off of the flair just yet. Right now Cheick is probably 225-230 pounds of iron. There are not three guys in Tennessee basketball with his strength. Insanely active offensive rebounder. Player of the Game.

9/26/26: Facing ISM Sports Valliance "V" Luketa came off of the bench. Last season he played a lot of starting point guard. In the first quarter Luketa did play and play well. He sped the play up and hunted pass recipients. Valliance did not look to shoot in the opening quarter. Extremely quick feet. He ran a late shot clock play to perfection though he did miss the tricky three-pointer.

9/26/26: Alhassane hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to conclude the third quarter. His teammates and coaches lost their marbles cheering. Apparently, this was akin to Roy Hibbert's unlikely three-pointer in the Big East Tournament years ago. Camara operates in the lane often and primarily helps as a post defender/rebounder. The big man did get some dump-offs. Good teammate. Silent on the court. Good effort. No complaints.

9/26/26: Gotta get better as a perimeter defender. Must bulk up. He did some push-ups at halftime presumably to address this. Dazon is a fantastic halfcourt scorer. He creates basket in so many different ways. Reid is a natural slasher with a better than average jumper riding shotgun. His elevation in the lane is great for a high school player and slightly above average for a top college hooper. The defense will keep him off of the floor early next year unless he devotes himself to that. He can guard ok in the lane though he slides his feet too slowly to deter a legit slashing guard. And those are the kind of guys he is going to see if he lands on a D1 roster. Reid was often HHCA's primary scoring option in the first half Saturday. It was a role he comfortablay assumed.

9/26/26: Extremely thin. Agility is tremendous. Riak is growing into a wing forward. His toughness as a hooper continues to blossom. Great listener. Coach's dream. Ruot will be asked to gain weight thoguh it will be challenging. He is just a thin guy genetically. Again his agility is insanely good at 6-foot-8ish. Born and raised in South Sudan.
