Highfill Hoops Camp Under the Radar Prospects

The Highfill Hoops x Assist Invitational was a major success, bringing together some of the top players from across the state of VA under one roof. Over 15 college coaches attended, and more than 65 players participated on the day. The camp featured some highly sought-after players and some under-the-radar guys from Virginia who deserve more attention moving forward.    Honestly a name that was new to me. I hadn't seen him in person with my own eyes, and I was very impressed. Shane Brown is a physical and athletic combo guard who can score from all 3 levels and has great length to disrupt opposing guards. One of the better defenders and overall prospects in the 27 class from the 757. A player college coaches need to be on now if they aren't already. He is a sharpshooter with excellent shooting mechanics and a quick first step, and he can attack defenders off the bounce with ease. He can play multiple positions and is a versatile offensive and defensive threat.     [player_tooltip player_id='3659463' first='Dizru' last='Utah'] was among some of the top standouts at the Highfill Hoops x Assist Invitational. He is a versatile and athletic 2 way wing who can score in a variety of ways. He has great length that he uses to his advantage on both sides of the ball. A college-ready prospect who is just scratching the surface. He was dominant throughout the whole event, making plays for himself and others, and shot very efficiently from the field.     One of the best shooters I've seen in VA in a while; he shot the lights out at camp. High-level scorer and versatile playmaker. Has improved his athleticism and defensive intensity since I last saw him play. A player for coaches to track moving forward. One of the top players from camp.   Hayden is known as a shooter, but he has quickly shown he is more than that, being a capable playmaker and a versatile defender, being able to guard multiple positions and keep up with quicker, smaller guards or bigger athletic forwards; it doesn't matter; he will contain them and create mayhem for the opposing team.     One of the best hidden gems in the 2028 class, Carlos is an absolute marksman. A quick and shifty guard who can play the 1 or 2 and beat you off the dribble or is able to score off the ball. Does a great job getting to his spots and running in transition. Great IQ and passing abilities; also an excellent defender. Carlos is an excellent 2 way guard who runs the floor well in transition, makes the right plays for his team, and simply knows how to win. Carlos will be a highly sought-after player for college programs looking to add versatile guards.     [player_tooltip player_id='2348972' first='Colton' last='Davis'] is one of the best scorers and shooters I've seen as of late. He continues to show growth in his game each time I've seen him play. He's become more athletic, a great all-around decision-maker, and can play 1-3. He is known as a knockdown shooter, but he does much more than just shoot the ball. He's a high-impact player that college coaches should be on now. Among the top performers at camp, and he is set to have a monster breakout senior season for Liberty Christian Academy.
