Fall Takeaways: Burlington Christian Academy

<p>The Piedmont Triangle Athletic Conference is widely regarded as one of the premier conferences in the state of North Carolina. The Royals of Burlington Christian look to make some noise as newcomers to the conference. They return a strong core of upperclassmen and a intriguing group of transfers. They posses the talent that gives them the ability to compete with the upper echelon of the conference. That will also put them in a strong position to compete for a state title come February. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Backcourt</h2>   <p>The Royals top three returning scorers come from their backcourt. Which should one of the more underappreciated units in the state.</p>    <p>Jack is a 6'4 guard that is coming off a strong summer season and should be one of the focal points offensively for the them, capable at scoring at all three level and impacts both sides of the ball. He's showcased a more explosive game offensively which has allowed him to diversify his skillset.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Manny has been a constant producer for this team for past two years, a two way player that creates for himself but also can set up his teammates for easy offense, is also extremely impactful on the defensive end.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Jacobson showed throughout this summer that he can impact the game not only as a shot maker but as a secondary iniator as well. An undersized guard that simply puts the ball in the basket.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Intringuing Frontcourt Acquistions</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The addition of Faulk-Warner will be an instant impact for this unit. At 6'6 he possesses a physical frame, that understands how to attack the basket and finish through contact downhill and will have the oppurtunity to play major minutes and be an all around force on both sides of the ball. Expect Faulk-Warner to contend to be one of the top freshman in the state. </p>     <p>A player that was not here for workouts due to soccer that the staff has spoken highly on was Garrido-Perez. Hector is a 6'5 forward that can produce in a variety of ways. He averaged numbers of 13.9 PPG; 9.5 RPG; 4.8 APG at Orange High School last year and should an instant impact to this group.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Key Rotational Pieces</h2>   <p>The Royals have a strong mix of talent but will have a good amount of depth to them as well.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">The addition of Allen to the mix will immediately provide instant impact for the Royals. He is tough guard that gets downhill and has a knack for finishing through contact. A capable outside threat that shot thirty-two percent from three last year.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Bethea is coming off injury but will be a key depth piece as a two player whenever he is called upon. A scrappy guard that plays physical, can score the ball and will provide defensive impact.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Clark is a player that does not accumulate many stats but is a guy that does the little things any staff would want. A constant energy and hustle guy that brings effort on every play.</p>    <p>The team will have a challenging conference schedule with two defending state champions and a runner up but if they can gel and stay healthy expect a dangerous group that will surprise some people this winter.</p>
