2026 Get In Get Out Showcase Forward Standouts

The frontcourt group at the Get In/Get Out Showcase featured an interesting mix of established production and developing versatility. Several of the forwards are beginning to expand their games farther away from the basket, while others already understand how to maximize their size and physical tools inside. With the season approaching, this group features several players who appear ready to take another step.    Seymour looks increasingly comfortable in his new surroundings at Hudson Catholic and has a chance to carve out an important role this season. The 6-foot-4 power wing uses his length and strong upper body effectively, particularly as a rebounder and when creating space around the basket. He also showed touch in the mid-range. Continued development as a shooter and ball handler will help determine just how versatile he can become, but the physical foundation is already there.     Perkins has steadily improved over the last several months and looks ready to put together a big senior season. The New Zealand native is increasingly comfortable operating from the perimeter, whether attacking off the dribble, pulling up in the mid-range or spacing the floor from three. The improvement in his jumper makes his overall profile much more versatile than it was even a few months ago. Perkins has the tools to fit the modern game and should be a name for low-major programs to track closely throughout the winter and spring.     Wilson already has made a name for himself, impacting games with his rebounding, physicality and production around the basket, but his expanding perimeter game could unlock another level. He looked noticeably more confident taking threes Saturday and attempted them with significantly less hesitation. If that becomes a consistent part of his game, it changes the way defenses have to approach him. Already one of the better juniors in the New York City area, Wilson has an opportunity to further establish himself among the CHSAA's top players this season.     Sheard has a chance to be a dominant interior presence for Uniondale this season. His combination of strength and athleticism allows him to control the glass and protect the rim, but what stands out is how well he understands how to use those tools. He does his work early, establishes position and creates an advantage before the ball ever reaches him. As his skill level continues to expand, Sheard has the physical foundation to become an increasingly difficult matchup.     Bensimon plays much bigger than his listed 6-foot-5 and was seemingly everywhere on Sunday. A pest defensively and a skilled offensive player, he has a unique combination of toughness and versatility. He's equally capable of scoring around the rim or spacing the floor as a shooter, giving him the type of inside-out skill set that fits perfectly at the modern four spot.
