With the summer serving as a pivotal period for recruiting momentum to take shape, strong performances throughout the circuit resulted in new scholarship offers, increased interest, campus visits, and significant movement on recruiting boards. He consistently plays off two foot jump stops and pump fakes while finding ways to contribute on the offensive and defensive glass while also playing with tremendous effort and energy on both ends, making an impact even when the ball isn't in his hands. His growth as a creator has been especially noticeable, as he has become increasingly comfortable attacking closeouts off the bounce, navigating various PnR actions with poise, and making timely reads as a playmaker. Roberts does a good job getting downhill and applying pressure to the defense, all while keeping his head up and utilizing his court vision to find open shooters on the perimeter. Add in his reliable perimeter shooting ability as a spot up threat, and Roberts is showing the makings of a guard capable of impacting the game in multiple ways. His continued development has made him an intriguing player for coaches at the next level to monitor— having earned an offer from NJIT in the spring time and an offer from the new coaching staff at Texas Southern to end the summer. Grimsley gets in the paint at will and does a good job of finding guys open— whether that be hitting dump offs in the dunker spot, spraying the ball out to open shooters on the perimeter, and even hitting rollers on time in different PnR actions. Defensively, Grimsley is also a scrappy and tough defender who defends the length of the floor with effort and intensity. Having seen significant playing time playing 15U EYBL with City Rocks, Grimsley emerged as heavily leaned on overall playmaker— and that production matriculated into an extended scholarship offer earlier this past spring during the month of May from La Salle University. Offensively, Cowell has become increasingly effective around the basket, consistently producing from the dunker spot and on the block— with his low post game having also taken a clear step forward, as he's showing more patience, improved footwork, and a developing package of reliable interior moves. He's becoming a more efficient and dependable scoring option in the paint. Defensively, Cowell brings a high level of activity and physicality— consistently competing for rebounds at their highest point and has established himself as a strong presence on the glass while also continuing to develop as a rim protector while showcasing the versatility to defend quicker guards and wings on the perimeter.
