This past Sunday, Saint Elizabeth University's Men's Basketball Program hosted it's Elite Camp where a select group of high school prospects were on campus in Morristown, NJ to compete in a camp setting, receiving advanced instruction and showcasing their skillsets directly in front of Saint Elizabeth's coaching staff. Several players stood out with the tools, competitiveness and upside that could translate to the next level. With that being said, here's a look at some of the camp's notable performers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2634744' first='Johan' last='Stephenson'] '27 6'5" F Roselle Catholic

Probably best categorized as a tweener at this point in his development, [player_tooltip player_id='2634744' first='Johan' last='Stephenson'] is a prospect who hasn't quite seemed to crack the rotation over at Roselle Catholic however made the most of his opportunity in front of Saint Elizabeth's coaching staff on Sunday. Through a series of different on court drills that intended to simulate game like PnR situations, Stephenson impressed with his finishing ability, particularly with his off hand with touch and with power getting on the rim. Looking to prove he can play within the flow of the offense, Stephenson also impressed as a connective passer, keeping the ball moving and turning partial advantages into open shots for those he shared the court with.

[player_tooltip player_id='3271441' first='Bryce' last='Williams'] '27 6'0" G Rutgers Prep

[player_tooltip player_id='3271441' first='Bryce' last='Williams'] is on the heels of a junior season that saw him emerge as a valuable shot making guard that proved capable of excelling off the ball and providing legitimate floor spacing ability from the perimeter as an outside shooter and could look to turn much of that momentum into interest at the next level. WIlliams possesses really good outside shooting touch and shoots it an efficient percentage from three, with compact and repeatable shooting mechanics. The part of Williams' skillset that's always stood out is the simplicity in which plays with, and that was noticeable on Sunday— particularly not being over zealous off the bounce when attacking in different PnR drills. Defensively Williams competed really well, combating being undersized, where he impressed in not allowing himself to get screened in different ball screens.

Ben Fleming '27 5'11" G Hawthorne Christian Academy

In camp like settings, prospects who approach drills and competition with high energy and intensity almost always stand out and that was most certainly the case with Ben Fleming where he allowed that to be the catalyst to a productive day. Fleming's performance stood out past his effort and energy, where his outside shooting stood out— stepping into rhythm looks with confidence and showcasing a good outside shooting touch, while also proving he can shoot it comfortably from college range already.

[player_tooltip player_id='2628241' first='Joseph' last='Newell'] '27 6'5" F Henry Hudson

Jospeh Newell is a prospect who immediately stood out with his athleticism and physically built frame. Newell made a number of plays where his physical tools popped— leveraging his strength to win rebounding battles and for strong finishes both through contact and with power around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2485127' first='RJ' last='Annecchini'] '27 5'7" G Westwood Regional

[player_tooltip player_id='2485127' first='RJ' last='Annecchini'] is a guard who's played some of his best basketball over the last calendar year and so and his showing on Sunday at Saint Elizabeth's continued to prove his ability to pick his spots and score when necessary as well as set up his teammates for quality looks. Quick off the bounce, Annecchini demonstrated his ability to get in the lane and generate paint touches while simultaneously showcasing his soft outside shooting touch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2380816' first='De'An' last='Armstrong'] '27 6'0" G Arts

Over the last couple of seasons, [player_tooltip player_id='2380816' first='De'An' last='Armstrong'] has developed a reputation as a confident left handed marksmen from three point range who efficiently knocks down outside shots. However, this past Sunday, Armstrong impressed more offering several encouraging glimpses of possessing the ability to counter that perimeter shooting touch with inside finishing at the rim, particularly with his ability to attack over zealous closeouts off the bounce and finish with dexterity from different angles and in traffic around the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='3575231' first='Isaac' last='Johnson'] '28 6'1" G Orange

Defensive impact has always been where [player_tooltip player_id='3575231' first='Isaac' last='Johnson'] has hung his hat the most and that seemed to be no different this past Sunday at Saint Elizabeth's Elite Camp. Defending with effort, energy, and intensity coupled with certain intangibles has always been where the bulk of Johnson's value lies and that once again proved to be true— blowing up ball screens, active hands paired with anticipation to disrupt ball handlers, and more often than not being in the right position to make defensive plays off the ball.
