[player_tooltip player_id='2892747' first='Grant' last='Thorson'] appears ready to take the reins over at Damonte Ranch this upcoming season. He is one of the more versatile SF's in the state right now. Since he is able to drain threes, get to his spots, and leak out in transition. That blend of offensive skill should make him a primary option every possession with the Mustangs. And it's very possible that we see his PPG skyrocket to 20+. Look for him to turn heads weekly this fall and winter up in Reno.

[player_tooltip player_id='3558072' first='Calin' last='Anderson'] could very well continue ascending up the 2027 rankings this fall and winter. He is a force to be reckoned with on offense thanks to his burst, instincts, and shooting ability. And I think it's fair to say that he's essentially a threat to score anytime he touches the rock. Anderson gets it done on the defensive end too. Covering ground at a rapid rate and can take turnovers the rest of the way for an easy bucket or dunk.

[player_tooltip player_id='2449483' first='Aaron' last='Westphal'] can score in a variety of ways and will take what the defense gives him. If he's left unmarked on the perimeter, he'll connect on triples. If there's enough of a driving lane, he'll slash to the hoop. I'm also a fan of how he leverages his length and height on the defensive end. Making him an all around productive and effective player. With the Miners two leading scorers from last year gone, the door should be open for Westphal to score consistently.

Reno forward Breck Shellin may keep climbing up the rankings. He utilizes his combination of size and shooting on the offensive end to help space the floor for his team. His high release point also helps him shoot right over defenders that are closing out. Beyond his ability to put the ball in the cup, he also hunts down rebounds and can alter shots.

Xavier Reed has made the move to Damonte Ranch from Reed. He gives the Mustangs a real scoring punch, and I'm excited to see how he does over there. He has the shiftiness to elude defenders when he wants to get to the rack. And he also will let it fly from 3 point land. I also expect him to push the pace at times, which could lead DR to some big victories.

[player_tooltip player_id='3071134' first='Ford' last='Gilliam'] is likely going to be one of the top scorers for the Reed Raiders this year. He finds space on the perimeter often, and his teammates will wisely hit him for catch and shoot opportunities. He also drives to the basket occasionally and will throw the ball ahead after a rebound on defense. Overall, he plays the game the right way and he might just break out this fall and winter.
