Carlino showed the ability to manipulate defenders with his pace while keeping the offense organized and finding opportunities to attack. A gritty defender who really competed to produce on-ball stops and stonewall drives, taking pride in his defensive contributions and bringing a physical presence to the point of attack.

This floor general had the ability to navigate the court, attack the teeth of the defense, and create off the dribble at his own pace, which often carried over into his unpredictable scoring, where he proved to be one of the best shot-making lead guards in the state. He played with great fundamentals, always sizing up in triple threat and quickly combining pump fakes and jab steps to create angles for himself. His defensive prowess was noteworthy as well, as he was an absolute pest at times, competing with intense side-to-side quickness that not only limited dribbling space but forced ball-handlers to turn their backs to protect the ball.

In transition, [player_tooltip player_id='2464612' first='Jordan' last='Hopkins'] kept pressure on the rim, charging downhill with a high IQ, instincts, and feel for the game that set him apart as a point guard who could do it all offensively. Jordan Hopkin's footwork allowed him to get through the lane and out of tight spaces with ease, capable of finishing against pressure off balance or off two feet. He utilized timely spin moves, pro hops, and swing steps to manipulate defenders stepping up on his penetration, consistently changing his finishing angle and using his footwork to navigate help defenders around the rim.

Glue guy who impacts winning in all the little ways that don't always show up in the box score. Bickerstaff consistently creates value through intelligent spacing, unprompted off-ball screens and timely movement designed to free up teammates. Plays with a strong feel for the game and understands how to make himself useful without needing the ball. Possesses a good first step and attacks low out of his stance, using aggressive rip-throughs off the catch to get downhill and turn the corner on defenders. The summer may be over, but the evaluation process is just beginning. Frisco has plenty of talent worth keeping on the recruiting radar, from established varsity contributors to emerging young prospects poised to make a jump. With the fall providing a fresh opportunity for players to expand their roles, improve their stock and establish themselves as names to know in the recruiting cycle, here are some Frisco-area prospects to keep a close eye on heading into the season.
