New to the Rankings: 2028 Prospects Making Their Debut

Here is a closer look at some of the new prospects who earned their spot with strong performances this spring and summer. Matelus is a productive rebounder who impacts the glass at a high rate and has the athleticism and length to alter shots around the rim. As his offensive game continues to expand, he has the tools to keep trending upward in the 2028 class.     A point guard from Ghana who is at Balboa for the 2026-27 season, Karim is a strong, quick lead guard with an impressive command of the basketball. He sees the floor well and is a capable passer who consistently creates opportunities for teammates. Karim continues to improve as a perimeter shot-maker, adding another dimension to his offensive game. He is an intriguing point guard prospect to track closely throughout his junior season.     Hamilton is an intriguing wing with good positional size, length and above average athleticism. He runs the floor well and is especially effective in transition, where he uses his athleticism to finish above the rim. Hamilton is also a capable perimeter shot maker when given open looks, giving him the ability to impact the game at different levels.     The junior is a strong, physical slashing wing who is at his best attacking the basket and putting pressure on the defense. He also has some playmaking ability, showing a good feel for the game and the ability to create opportunities for teammates. He plays with impressive toughness and competitiveness, bringing a physical presence on both ends of the floor. He impressed during the summer with OBG Elite.
