New Names Break Out at The EXPO Illinois in 2027 and 2028

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription***</em><br><br>At The EXPO Illinois there were unranked players that made enough noise that they will be considered for rankings in our next updates.&nbsp; This is a portion of those new names that emerged at the event!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3454854' first='Ayden' last='Kneer'] (Washington – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kneer is a guard out of Washington that at 6'0” showed some nice slashing ability as he won off the deck with multiple nice drives in the game I saw.&nbsp; Liked how he was willing to stick his nose in for put backs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3733519' first='Jaylen' last='Barren'] (Homewood Flossmoor – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'5” small forward from HF burst on the scene as a wing with plus positional size and good athleticism.&nbsp; Was most effective cutting off the ball for scores as he did it multiple times creating offense when he didn't have the rock in his hands.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3724448' first='Dayshaun' last='Allen'] (Prosser – 20208)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>At 6'3” the Prosser long and lanky wing has a projectable frame and plus athleticism.&nbsp; Liked his activity level and what he could bring long term as a perimeter defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2894435' first='Nate' last='Gold'] (Niles Notre Dame - 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Niles Notre Dame 5'8” point guard has super deep range on his jump shot.&nbsp; Stretched it to beyond the three point line on multiple occasions in the game I saw him pulling up from well behind the college line.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2837116' first='Charles' last='Washington Jr']. (St. Francis de Sales – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'1” two guard from St. Francis de Sales put his name on the map playing off his physical gifts and athleticism.&nbsp; Athletic rebounder for a guard and did manage to knock down a long ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3732560' first='Jackson' last='Vanderheydt'] (Washington – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Washington High School 6'2” shooting guard was a big eye opener for us at The EXPO.&nbsp; The two guard is a plus shooter from the perimeter as he poured in an array of threes along with mixing in mid-range jumpers and a couple conversions for and-1s in the lane.&nbsp; Going to provide some spark for Washington this upcoming season!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2831749' first='Nathan' last='Freiheit'] (Buffalo Grove – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>First look at this 7'0” five man from Buffalo Grove.&nbsp; Pretty thin and long.&nbsp; Light on his feet with touch that stretched out to beyond the three point arc as the lefty poured one in from deep.&nbsp; Will definitely need to add more strength and continue to improve, but is intriguing with his size.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2814849' first='Jysan' last='Grant'] (Kankakee – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'3” shooting guard from Kankakee had a really nice performance at the event.&nbsp; Downhill slashing wing that was explosive off the dribble, rebounded very well for a wing, and was willing to take his man down to the post to do damage against smaller or weaker opponents.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3660232' first='Jayden' last='Stewart'] (Hope – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stewart shined as a 6'0” well put together two guard from Hope.&nbsp; Strong bodied wing with nice length as the lefty got loose in transition on a couple of occasions and banged in a side step three.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3692506' first='Ja'kwon' last='Davis'] (Cairo – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis came up from southern Illinois and put himself on the map as a smaller scoring lead guard who can shoot it from beyond the arc.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3575810' first='Daniel' last='Sykes'] (Normal Community – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Normal Community 6'1” guard is an acrobatic finisher, active rebounder from his guard spot, and a capable spot up shooter especially from the corner.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3585292' first='Cameron' last='Fox'] (Dyett – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fox is a 5'10” lead guard from the CPS that did a nice job of pushing in the open floor going coast to coast for several scores.&nbsp; Also flashed as a perimeter shooter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532029' first='Riggins' last='Travieso'] (St. Viator – 2028)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Really liked what we saw out of the 6'6” St. Viator four man.&nbsp; Lefty that was extremely active around the hoop with nimble footwork and recorded multiple put backs.&nbsp; Shot blocking presence on the defensive end.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
