It's very exciting to see a big-time prospect like Huffman play solid, team basketball at a showcase event. For an incoming freshman, Jackson does a bunch of things very well, like throwing impactful passes in a variety of situations. His long arms grace him with being able to launch effective outlet and shovel passes from different angles. My favorite aspect of Huffman's game is his physicality. Doesn't matter if he's getting bumped while dribbling, grabbed when elevating for a rebound, or hacked when he's attempting a layup or dunk, Jackson plays through it. Bo had the ball on a string all day, enabling him to get to his spots on the floor. From there, he was able to set up teammates or get an easy look for himself. I wouldn't advise most freshmen shooting a mid-range pull-up, Hogeboom would be an exception. Despite having the ball so much, it didn't feel like Hogeboom was pressing too hard on offense. At the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase, I thought he was the better catch-and-shoot guy in the gym. I enjoyed watching the calm nature of his game, a lot of doesn'ts. Doesn't force anything, doesn't take bad shots, doesn't turn the ball over, and doesn't take possessions off on defense. It's hard not to like that type of player. Not too many strong kids have touch like him around the rim. With the ball in his hands, his team can get a good shot whenever they want. An elite first step with a smooth handle gives Kamani the upper-hand in most matchups. His rim pressure often collapses opposing defenses, leaving space for shooters and cutters. Becoming more of an off-ball threat and defender is the key to Kamani taking a major leap during his freshman campaign.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
