Scoring the basketball is one thing, but doing it from all three levels, including the post, is what separates good scorers from truly special ones. In this article, Prep Hoops Dakotas is highlighting three-level scorers from both North Dakota and South Dakota, guys who can hurt you at the rim, in the post, in the mid-range, and from beyond the arc.

These are the players who have the full scoring arsenal. Defenses can't key in on just one area of the floor because these hoopers have proven they can beat you in multiple ways. Whether it's attacking off the dribble, scoring down low against bigger bodies, pulling up in the mid-range, or knocking down shots from deep, these players make life difficult on opposing defenses every time they step on the floor. Here's a look at some of the Dakotas' scoring threats who deserve some extra attention.

Three-Level Scorers

He is a youngster, but this kid can produce from multiple levels. Like all of the ballers in this article, Soukup is a matchup problem. He scores well around the hoop with good feet, scores in transition, hits the mid-range J, and drills the 3-point shot on the regular. Keep track of this Oriole, he is going places.

PHD is a fan of Hofmann's game and believes that he has a bright future. Drew is an underrated athlete, a versatile baller, skilled, smart, clever, and unselfish. I am expecting Hofmann to be one of the top-tier Class B players this coming season. Hofmann has a soft & easy release in his jumper and is very effective in the catch & shoot game. Drew runs like the wind and finishes above the rim impressively. He has a nasty spin-move when slashing and is a creative/effective finisher. Big things are coming this winter from Hofman.

Jackson had a great club season. Deutsch was the most consistent and best slasher to the rim for SSA ND White. His squad finished the season on an impressive 11-1 run in the final 3 tourneys. Deutsch protected the rim and proved to be an active playmaker. Jackson is at his best attacking the basket, but he will also make the defense pay for giving him too much space at the arc. Deutsch is an improved 3-shooter and a player on the rise.

He really showed out at the National Championship and Wavrin's 3-point shooting was impressive. Logan has no problem scoring around the basket and is talented as a mid-range/mid-paint scorer. Wavrin spreads the floor and cashes the three-ball via a catch and/or pull-up. His shot is visually pleasing, and Logan is a major matchup problem with his length.

The future Viking is one of the best BIGs in the state. Nelson did not shoot the 3-ball very often in club basketball with [program_tooltip program_id='2075741' first='ND' last='Phenom'], but he can certainly knock them down. I watched Decoteau fill it up from behind the arc at the BHS Team Camp and I know he was capable from beyond the arc last season. Nelson does his best work in the paint/around the basket but has no problem hitting the open 15-footer, and knocking down the occasional triple.

Ryan has proved to be an intriguing prospect with offers from both the D2 and D1 levels. Dieleman has great length and size where he impacts the game around the basket. He is also a soft-touch shooter from behind the arc. He stretches the floor, pulls out the opposing BIG, and consistently connects from 3-point land.

Sully is likely the best three-level scorer in this article and appears to be a sure-fire future Division 1 player. Felberg has a complete game as a scorer, rebounder, skilled passer, and versatile defender. He is smart about exploiting mismatches, can play bully ball around the hoop, slash for profit, and hold his own on the outside with the best shooters in the state. If you want to see a walking-bucket, take a look at Sully!
