High School Spotlight: Bishop Chatard Trojans

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. I have always believed this was a sneaky talented group, and bringing back their core pieces from a season ago gives them a strong foundation heading into this year. Leading the way will be senior big man and Taylor commit [player_tooltip player_id='2831756' first='Zach' last='McCormack']. The 6-foot-10 forward made one of the biggest jumps of any player on the AAU circuit this spring and summer, showcasing significant growth in his overall game. Now, he looks to carry that momentum into the high school season as one of the most productive big men in the state on both ends of the floor. With McCormack anchoring the frontcourt and Sahm leading the backcourt, Bishop Chatard has the pieces to make a major leap this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2882514' first='Ari' last='Sahm']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Not only does Bishop Chatard return elite production in the frontcourt, but the Trojans also bring back one of the top guards in the lineup with 2027 guard [player_tooltip player_id='2882514' first='Ari' last='Sahm']. Sahm returns after leading the team in scoring a season ago, averaging 15.2 points per game, and enters this season as the engine that will make the offense go. He is an extremely comfortable playmaker both on and off the ball, giving Bishop Chatard a versatile offensive weapon who can create for himself and others.
