High Level Performers At The Hillsdale Elite Camp

He was talented back then, but wow, has he developed his game. He's much more under control, while still prolific with the ball in his hands. He could make a lot of noise this season. Greathouse had an impressive wingspan and long strides. He didn't disappoint. I was even interested in DeRose's stats or anything like that. I wanted to see his movement and comfort on the court. A+ on both fronts. DeRose played with loose hips and really good all around movement. The first was how well he understands the open floor. He just got it, from spacing to the right pass to make and when. The second was his discipline in pushing pace. Ferwerda seemed to instinctively know when it was time and when it wasn't. He did an excellent job creating off the bounce and getting to the rim. He proved that he could finish at the rim in traffic and around defenders. I've probably seen him play 50 + times since he hit high school. I learned early that the young man can fill it up from deep. What I saw Saturday that I liked was his ability to play with the ball in a point guard role. I've seen all kinds of predictions on his long term position, but I really liked the way he performed on the wing in Hillsdale. Estelle was able to put the ball on the floor and get north-south.
