With the summer coming to an end, we decided to take a look at some of the top underrated players that college coaches should be watching for heading into the season. Here's a look at six junior wings in the NOVA area that are ready for a breakout season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815380' first='Jayden' last='Banks'] | 6'6” SF | Highland

Banks has really shown improvement in his two seasons at Highland and is turning himself into a very intriguing prospect, and with more opportunity this year I think he'll have a chance to be a big impact guy for this talented Highland group. At 6'6” with long arms and good bounce he's starting to play above the rim with authority and effortlessly, he's shown big time improvement in his consistency off the catch from deep, he can handle it in transition and get downhill off the bounce, and he has huge upside on the defensive end as a guy who can lock down the other team's best defender too.

[player_tooltip player_id='3554539' first='Kaden' last='Golston'] | 6'3” SF | Stone Bridge

Golston had a very good sophomore year for Stone Bridge last season, and this year I think he'll have a chance to be one of the top overall players in the Loudoun County area. He's a Swiss-army knife well rounded type of player who can score the ball in a lot of different ways, he is a big time athlete who thrives in transition with his ability to run the floor and play above the rim, he brings toughness on the defensive end, and he's a good rebounder for his position too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2919978' first='Declan' last='Conley'] | 6'4” SG | Potomac School

Conley was very impressive this summer with Potomac School at the DMV Live sessions, building on a solid sophomore year and showing he's getting more comfortable and confident with every game he plays in. His positional size is intriguing for him as he moves forward as he's able to guard and rebound well, he is a driller from deep with good range and a quick release, he can play on the ball where he handles pressure well and makes good decisions, and he oozes toughness with his high motor and willingness to sacrifice his body for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2921126' first='Khing' last='Terrell'] | 6'3” SF | SSSAS

Terrell may have had a slow start to his career with all of the upperclassmen over him, but coming off of a terrific summer with New World and SSSAS he's primed to step into a much bigger role on the offensive end this year. The 6'3” wing is a highly skilled scorer who can create his own shot off the bounce whether it's getting downhill or creating space, he can move off the ball and knock down shots on the move, he is very good in isolation and using ball screens, and he's the type of player you can give the ball to in late shot clock situations and let him work.

Jackson Wooten | 6'1” SG | Bishop O'Connell

Wooten has steadily improved over the past few years, and coming off a season where he was an important piece off the bench he's looking like he'll be a more focal piece to this team this year. He is a good shooter from deep and is in a great situation with talented guards who can draw defenders and kick to him, he reads defenses well whether he's handling the ball or working off of it to cut for easy buckets, and he really takes pride defensively as he moves his feet well and is good at coming help side to take charges as well.

Aidan Pinches | 6'1” SG | Woodson

Woodson is one of the best programs in NOVA at bringing their players along and having them ready by their junior season, and Pinches is fitting right into that mold after being a contributor off the bench for them last year and is ready for a bigger role this year. The 6'1” lefty is a high IQ guard who can play on or off the ball and makes good reads in both situations, he can knock it down from deep off the catch with consistency, and he understands concepts on both ends of the floor so he always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

With the summer coming to an end, we decided to take a look at some of the top underrated players that college coaches should be watching for heading into the season. Here's a look at six junior wings in the NOVA area that are ready for a breakout season.
