He had a huge AAU season for Caveman, and the boost in his skills and confidence was noticeable by the end of the summer. Davis is just one of those players that have an instinct for scoring and puts himself in spots where he can easily find points both in the half court and in transition. He has an explosive first step, and it really opens up his game because he is a good enough shooter where defenses really do have to pressure him when he has the ball in his hands. During the AAU season, Davis emerged as a scoring threat during the Pitt Jam Fest and his confidence continued to grow from there. He is getting better and better at recognizing what the defense is giving him. I also like what I saw from Davis defensively. He has the quickness and competitiveness to be a real lock-down defender. Davis is going to be a major contributor for the Wolverines this high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3733207' first='Demario' last='Smith'] has one of the most complete offensive toolboxes in District 10. The 6'2 Cathedral Prep combo guard spent much of last season playing behind an exceptionally talented varsity backcourt, but anyone who watched him closely at the JV level or during his work with Team Northeast saw a player with the potential to have a significant role for the Ramblers this season. Smith has excellent range, a quick release, and the confidence to let it fly. But he can also put it on the floor and attack off the dribble. He has point guard instincts in the way he sees the floor and is always willing to make the extra pass.

Coming off earning Second Team All-Region honors, [player_tooltip player_id='2492448' first='Ashton' last='Wilbur'] is one of the top returning players in District 10. Wilbur is particularly dangerous when the floor opens up and he gets the opportunity to attack his defender one-on-one. He has a quick first step and enough shiftiness with the basketball to get into the lane. Wilbur is one of the best finishers in Northwestern PA. He finishes well with either hand and also has a crafty floater he uses against taller defenders when they slide over to help. That also opens up his midrange game which is just as solid. The development of his perimeter shooting has taken his offensive game to the next level. Wilbur is one of the best playmakers in District 10. Wilbur takes pride in his defense and is quick enough to guard any guard or forward position. The work ethic may ultimately be what determines how high Wilbur's ceiling reaches. There isn't any player in the area that works as hard on his game as him.

[player_tooltip player_id='3043561' first='Zayne' last='Henderson'] is already producing against older competition. The 6'3 Erie High guard is one of the top prospects in District 10. He has legitimate range and the confidence to let it fly from deep. His ability to change direction and create separation gives him a real edge. Henderson also has the makings of a point guard. He is a smart player and sees the floor well as a facilitator. He saw varsity time for the Royals last season as a freshman, and I see him being a major contributing part of the team this year. He has all of the tools to become a legitimate college prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='3038791' first='Jeremiah' last='Nixon'] is already doing things young guards are usually still learning how to do. He has the confidence to run an offense, the toughness to attack and create when the game is on the line. Nixon has a quick first step and an excellent handle. He doesn't shy away from contact once he gets into the lane. He has no problem attacking bigger defenders and draws plenty of fouls where he makes him pay from the free throw line. Nixon is also a threat beyond the arc. He gets his shot off quickly and is proficient when shooting off the dribble. While he can score at will, Nixon is also a solid facilitator and leader on the floor. He understands how to control the tempo of the game, especially in end of game situations. What I really like about his overall game is his toughness. Nixon is the type of player that never backs down and is always ready for big moments.
