2027 class: Who will be the unsung hero? (Part 3)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Every team can use a senior that's cool, calm, and collected when the bright lights come on. Every team needs vocal leadership. Every team needs a senior that's not afraid to take a big shot or come up with a huge defensive stop.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teams with aspirations of competing for state titles will lean on the seniors at some point during the season. It's a natural thing to do.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now the question is: Which senior will rise to the occasion?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2881278' first='Damian' last='Cullom'], Bearden: Cullom is an undersized forward at 6-foot-3, but he's a bruiser. As a matter of fact, Collum can do a lot on the court. He's built to be more of a football player, but he gets up and down the floor with ease. Collum can push the basketball in transition and finish at the rim. Don't underestimate Collum's ability to make shots. He may surprise you. Collum's contributions in 2026 will help the Bearden Bulldogs, and his presence and leadership on the court will carry a lot of weight.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2885410' first='Benji' last='Prince'], Station Camp: Prince can impact the game in a multitude of ways. He knows how to draw contact and get to the free throw line. Prince is efficient from the free throw line. He moves well without the basketball. Prince can make shots from the perimeter. He can be utilized at both guard spots. Prince is a playmaker and takes care of the basketball. It's going to be another year Prince will be productive for the Bison.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2283269' first='Fred' last='Martin'], Harding Academy: Martin has been a double-digit scorer for the Lions since his freshman season. He's been the lead guard since his freshman season. Now the goal should be to lead Harding Academy to a deep postseason run. Martin is a 3-level scorer and has displayed throughout his high school career how well he can score the basketball. If he stays healthy, Martin will be productive, and the Lions will be a legit contender in TSSAA Division II Class A.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1860333' first='Langsten' last='Jordan'], Lipscomb Academy: Jordan is a talented guard that's going to add versatility to the Mustangs offense this upcoming season. He's helpful at both guard spots. If he's at point guard, Jordan can get downhill and finish at the rim. He's quick and shifty enough to do so. If Jordan is at shooting guard, he can make shots within the offense. The basketball moves, so it's going to come his way. Lipscomb Academy is going to be one of the better teams in Division II Class AA this upcoming season. It's expected for Jordan to be a positive contributor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3483223' first='Cruze' last='Porter'], Westview: Porter transferred to Westview for his final high school season. He joins a Chargers team that's coming off an appearance in the Division I Class AA state title game. Westview is returning 3 of its top 4 scorers - [player_tooltip player_id='3561094' first='Miles' last='Brown'], [player_tooltip player_id='2881545' first='Tayshun' last='Walker'], and Caleb Campbell - from last season. Porter being added to the roster makes the Chargers a legit contender in Class 2A for another season. He's a reliable ball handler. Porter can score the basketball. Westview picked up a solid guard in the transfer portal.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
