UAA Finals: Friday 16 U Standouts

On a team that spaced the floor well, Lake is one of a handful of guards who can fill it up in a hurry from long distance. Lake also was fouled a couple times on drives to the rim as the threat of his jumper gave him an advantage when attacking off the dribble. Piatt made himself available for his guards to find him on the block on drives and crashed the offensive glass well. Naang had a sweet half spin off a post up that resulted in a slam dunk for him as his combination of fluid athleticism, ball handling ability at his size and age is very tough to find. While Bryant knocked down a couple of set shots, he was at his best in transition where he could use his long strides and overpower the defense at the rim. Crashing the glass also allowed his team to get extra possessions as their lead extended in the second half. Zumberge's overall skill level allowed Nova Village to run some unique actions as he set screens beyond the 3-point line and has the ability to space the floor or make a passing decision on the perimeter. One of the more talented offensive bigs in central Ohio, Zumberge can do a variety of things both with and without the basketball on that end of the court. I'm glad I got to see Zumberge is a more extended role at the grassroots level as he wasn't receiving a ton of minutes in the spring.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
