The Platforms Sunday Standouts: Top scorers and performers.

Looking over the weekend, there were many great performances. Here are the five players who stoodout the most from Sunday. These players had great skills which ranged from shooting, finishing, and defense.    Ashton put on a show Sunday, including a game winner. In his game against 88 West, he started early by getting hard contact layups. Then he showed off his jumper by hitting a three and a pullup midrange before halftime. Once the second half started he picked up right where he left off. He continued to get layup after layup and got a couple and one opportunities too. In this back and forth game he proved he was the best player on the court and he showed it by making the lead taking layup with 2 seconds left to give his team the win.     Xavier was the spark off the bench [program_tooltip program_id='2622592' first='Flight' last='Athletics'] needed. He showed his ability to score by making tough layups and being everywhere on defense. By getting multiple steals, this created scoring chances for him which he converted on almost all of them. He also proved he can shoot by knocking down 2 threes in his first game and making all his free throws. He was definetily a fun player to watch and showed that he can be a reliable piece and be a key contributor.     [player_tooltip player_id='2894776' first='Devin' last=''] was one of the most pure shooters I've watched over the weekend. In a blowout win over Show me Elite 17u, [player_tooltip player_id='2894776' first='Devin' last=''] started his scoring by hitting a pull up mid-range. He followed that up by knocking down a three. While he played limited minutes in the 98-54 win, he was able to put together 12 points with all of them coming from jumpshots. Every one he took was nothing but net and it seemed that everytime he shot he knew it was going in.     Daniel showed he was one of the best players in the gym Sunday. He's able to get downhill and finish contested layups at a high rate. He is also a phenomonal playmaker and is able to draw two deffenders when he drives which creates easy dump offs to his teammates. He can shoot the ball at a good rate too and knock down open and contested three's when his team needs it. He put up double digit scoring in all of his games over the weekend and was really fun to watch.     Miles was a walking double double over the weekend. With his 6'5 frame, he was able to bully his opponents in the paint and snag many offensive rebounds. He was always in the dunker spot ready to score and he did just that everytime he got it. He is able to score on one end and sprint down to play defense on the other side and get the rebound. He truly has the skills to average a double double everytime he plays and can do it with ease. He also has the ability to step back to the three point line and knock a couple down too, which he showed in his games over the weekend.
