He was decisive, he attacked downhill, and he kept finishing over and over. Glynn hit multiple shots and responded whenever UFO Boyz went on a run, and ultimately ended up securing the win for PSB. I enjoyed how he pushed the pace and scored over and over at the basket. Big Day 1 for hi,m and I like how he's played all summer. Let's see what day 2 brings.

Roybal made his mark on Day 1 as the lefty spaced the floor with his outside shot and got hot from deep. It takes a while for him to get the shot off, but once he got an open look, he was money from 3. He hit a few shots in a row, looked confident offensively, and gave Greeley Titans some momentum. There were also some defensive plays where he got some steals and turned that into buckets on the other hand. He's a player who allows them to play open and free, and he's certainly skilled. I liked what I saw from him on Day 1.

Mondragon is a big man that we saw for the first time, who continued to make big plays on opening night, and it wasn't even that he was having to work too hard. His IQ took over as he was continuously at the right spot, and that got him easy baskets. He had a couple of tough finishes on the block through contact, he grabbed rebounds, and went right up and had good feel around the rim. Defensively, he kept popping out as he defended without fouling, grabbed rebounds, and started the break. Solid Day 1 for him.

Kian is arguably the most athletic player in that 2029 class, and that was on display for Game Point as they picked up an overtime win on Day 1. Kian was trying to jump over and through defenders on his finishes, and the opposing team had to get out of the way on some of the finishes. He gets downhill in a hurry and had some monster rebounds where he soared over smaller defenders to start the break and got out and ran. I suspect that he'll get better in each game this weekend, and this is a great opportunity for us to see how he looks in a different role with this squad.

Aven's athleticism jumped off the page on Day 1. He covered ground defensively, played above the rim, and created extra possessions simply with his activity. What I continue to like is that he doesn't need to score to make an impact, and he lets the game come to him. The game looks like it's slowing down for him right now. I'd still like to see him hunt his offense a little more the rest of the weekend. He has the green light and has the tools to put pressure on defenses, so becoming more aggressive could unlock another level to his game. Regardless, I came away encouraged by what I saw on Day 1 and hope he uses this opportunity to explore.

Kolin plays hard and is a player who kept showing up in my notebook. Every time his team needed a big play, he seemed to be in the middle of it. He shot the ball with confidence, knocked down open looks, and never hesitated when he got the ball. What stood out most was how he got the offense moving. He made quick decisions, attacked when the lane opened, and kept moving. He isn't necessarily the first player you'd expect to be who catches your eye on the team, but by the end of the game, he was one of the names I kept writing down. He's much more than someone who simply fits in; he can score, create offense for his team, and change the feel of a game when he gets rolling. He was a new name to know from Day 1.
