Kyler's 2027 Under-The-Radar Prospects That Impressed This Summer

The AAU season has all but officially wrapped up as we wind down from what has been an exciting last few months of basketball. From April to July, our prospects from the state of Indiana have put in a lot of work playing in a host of different events in multiple locations throughout the country. Our Prep Hoops Indiana Team has gotten eyes on nearly every prospect in the state and have been able to evaluate them. Going back and looking through my notes on the players I have seen, I thought this would be a good time to talk about 10 under-the-radar prospects that stood out to me. Here are the first five players.    Although a leg injury cut most of his summer off, I was lucky enough to get eyes on [player_tooltip player_id='2907634' first='Corde' last='Hill'] in the early parts of the spring AAU season. Hill is one of the bigger stock-risers in the 2027 in-state class and getting eyes on him in the spring proved just that. Hill is a twitchy guard that has really good length in the backcourt. Athletic guard that can score in multiple areas of the floor and defend very well.     One of the top under-the-radar guards we have in the entire state is Columbus East senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2470630' first='Judah' last='Lewis']. Lewis has had a strong spring and summer starting off with his play on [program_tooltip program_id='2076451' first='D1' last='Indiana'] and capped it off by being one of the breakout players in June. He had a strong showing in Charlie Hughes showcasing his elite quickness and high-level volume scoring. Highly productive guard that more smaller schools need to get involved with.     A defending champion that I got a chance to get eyes on over the summer is senior shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='3045017' first='Kierson' last='Lengacher']. The defending Class 1A State Champs return just about everyone from last year's team and one of their leaders for them will be Lengacher. Lengacher was one of the more versatile scorers I got a chance to watch this summer. A very high IQ type of guard that plays like a winner.     When you are the son of a coach, basketball often comes natural to you and [player_tooltip player_id='2470679' first='Logan' last='Sumpter'] proved to be one of the top under-the-radar prospects that I got eyes on over the summer. Sumpter will step into a major role for Westfield this coming season proved at times the past few months to be ready for that. A high IQ player that can score both on and off the ball well. Really smooth shooting off the catch.     New Albany is going to be a wagon this upcoming season and one of the players that is going to play a major role for them is [player_tooltip player_id='2831119' first='Seth' last='Winslow II']. This spring/summer was one of the first times I have had a chance to really get eyes on him and I came away very impressed with what he brings on the floor. A very versatile wing that can multiple spots on the floor. A real excellent finisher around the basket and competes on defense.
