2027 Off the Radar Shooters

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2027 rankings have been released and I want to look at some of the off the radar shooters, scorers and potential breakout players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Players that are not ranked currently in the top-100. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We start off with the </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Off the Radar Shooters </h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2746700' first='Carter' last='Glass'] <strong>Sandra Day O'Connor (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of if not THE top shooter in the state when left open. He has had literal games of 10+ made threes in multiple games. He squares up quickly and lets it fly in a blink of an eye. He comes with range and confidence. He can also dribble drive to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3492890' first='Sebastian' last='Marrufo'] <strong>Paradise Honors</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A stronger guard who can play on or off the ball. He can shoot the three off the catch but he prefers the middle game. He has a high level mid-range jumper he uses off the dribble and gets plus elevation. He also rebounds the ball well and will collect steals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2365144' first='Cameron' last='Koehler'] <strong>Casteel</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A sharp shooting southpaw combo guard should have a big year for the 6A Colts. He can play some on or off the ball but is probably best off the ball so he can fire away from mid to the three point line. He has a quicker trigger and I have seen him rattle in many in a row. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2812746' first='Cash' last='Hill']<strong> AZ Lutheran </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A decent sized scoring guard will be one of the top scorers in 2A this upcoming season. He has a pure stroke from the three point line and comes with a quicker trigger and range. He can also pull-up from mid-range and get a step on his defender to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2423049' first='Ben' last='Petrick']<strong> Pinnacle </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top 6A teams in the state has a talented team and Petrick is a part of that. He is the teams shooting specialist from the three point line but he can slide over to the point guard position and make smart reads to his teammates. He will score it with mid-range jumpers and get to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2759091' first='Calvin' last='McCrory'] <strong>Valley Christian </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big void must be filled now that Colby Jessup has graduated and it looks to be McCrory taking on that task and heavy volume of shots. The lefty can be on the ball to make plays but he is a natural scorer. He has very deep range and shoots it off the catch or pull. He seems to have the green light and is cashing in. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2339785' first='Zack' last='Vendrell'] <strong>Sequoia Charter </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An underrated shooter started his career at Gilbert and he can play some point guard in a pinch but shoots it so well from the three point line that he is probably best off the ball so he can catch and shoot it from the arc but he can also make plays for his teammates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
