Updated 2028 Rankings: NOVA Wings (Part 3)

We recently updated our 2028 class rankings in Virginia, adding over 25 names in a class that continues to get better it seems like every day. Here's a look at part three of the wings from the Northern VA area in the rankings.   #65) Jackson Wooten | 6'1” SG | Bishop O'Connell   Wooten is the son of legendary O'Connell coach Joe Wootten, and he's turning into a very good player who will be an important part of their team over the next few years. The 6'1” off guard can light it up from deep off the catch, he is a good secondary ball handler who makes the right play consistently, he moves well off the ball to get open, and he gives great effort on the defensive end too.   #74) Aidan Pinches | 6'1” SG | Woodson   Pinches is coming off a good sophomore year and is set for a big junior season after a good showing at VHSL Live, and he's the exact type of player you expect to come from this Woodson program. He's a high IQ player who makes the right reads and right decisions consistently, he shoots the ball very well off the catch from deep, he can get to his spots in the midrange, and he is very sound defensively too.   #88) Nahome Kidane | 6'3” SF | McLean   Kidane is a rising prospect to keep an eye on in the NOVA public schools, as he has a solid base skillset and good approach to the game with a lot of untapped potential to go along with it. At 6'3” already he has a great frame and is a good athlete who thrives in transition, he makes open shots from deep and can get to spots in the midrange, he plays with a good motor on both ends, and he is a good rebounder as well.   #93) Jordan Smith | 6'1” SG | Robinson   Smith was one of the breakout players in the NOVA area this past season, and he had one of the biggest games early in the season when he went for over 40 showing his ability to flat out fill it up. The 6'1” off guard is lethal from deep with a quick release and in the gym range, he can attack closeouts and get downhill where he's very good at finding contact to get to the line, he gets hot quickly and can knock down tough shots and fill it up in bunches, and he has a great feel for the game as well.   #98) Logan Brooks | 6'3” SF | Evergreen Christian   <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><a href="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/04/Brooks-Logan.jpg"><img src="https://prephoops.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2026/04/Brooks-Logan.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-3592815" /></a></figure>   Brooks continues to trend in the right direction, as he played a good role on their state championship team and is having a great summer for Local Legends as well. The 6'3” wing is a good athlete who uses his length and athleticism defensively to get deflections and guard multiple positions, he can knock down shots from multiple levels, he thrives in transition where he can run the floor or push it himself, and he's an athletic finisher through traffic as well.   #105) Yamanuel Agonafir | 6'5” SF | Justice   Agonafir is a walking mismatch when he's on the floor, as he is able to play multiple positions at this level, and also has a lot of tools that are intriguing as a prospect moving forward. He's strong and physical with the ability to finish in the paint in traffic, he can step out and drill it from deep, he's a good passer for his size and position, and he can impact the game on both ends of the floor as well.   #112) Maksym Mikhelson | 6'3” SG | Potomac School   Mikhelson continues to show improvement for this Potomac School team, as he had a very good showing for them in DMV Live, and is willing to play in different roles to produce and keep himself on the floor. The 6'3” off guard is a very good defender both on the ball and in help, he brings great energy on both ends of the floor, he can shoot it off the catch and attack downhill off the bounce, and he will do all the little things to help a team in a winning way.
