One of the biggest stock risers in Kentucky this spring, Brecount looks like a potential senior season stock riser as he's progressing very rapidly. Brecount does a nice job playing physically as he crashes the glass hard for offensive rebounds and isn't afraid to fly around and block a shot. A tough match-up due to his physicality, Brecount is too big and strong for many opposing bigs he faces. Finishing with his left hand consistently, Brecount scored off putbacks, as a roll man and off BLOB sets. A prospect who should be getting heavy interest from regional small college programs, Brecount is on the rise as he prepares for his senior season.

Another prospect who has taken off this summer, Smith is a poised guard who doesn't force the issue and shoots a high percentage from beyond the arc. Smith had a clutch floater bucket late when the game was within a possession or two in the final few minutes to help extend his teams lead. That type of clutch play is why Kentucky Basketball Club NKY has been so successful at winning tournaments this spring. Smith has impacted winning on the court as during the high school season, Ryle had a strong season in 2025-26 and with an excellent 2027 core led by Smith, they should be even better next season.

Bode made some huge plays for Kentucky Basketball Club NKY in their championship game victory as the lefty guard knocked down some clutch shots from the corner. Able to make shots off the catch, Bode had a fly by 3-pointer where his pump fake sent the closest defender flying past him and unable to contest his shot attempt. In the second half, Bode had a clutch putback layup that was ruled an and-1 in a key situation where his team was starting to lose momentum. Impressive showing from Bode to help lead his team to victory in a clutch situation.

The second Ryle prospect to be featured on this article, Nsuti had a big weekend with a lot of points in the paint. Nsuti is a physical forward who scores off putbacks, sitting in the dunker spot and as a quick ball handler. Nsuti had a monster putback slam dunk that got his team fired up in the first half as his physical dominance was on display on the interior. Another impressive player from the ninth region having a big spring for Kentucky Basketball Club NKY.

Spikes is a prospect I've been intrigued by for a while and he showed why on Sunday afternoon. Spikes is a versatile defender who blocked a shot as a help-side rim protector, fronted the post and prevented an entry pass and switched onto a guard and forced pressure on the ball. Spikes then got going hitting jumpers on the baseline with one mid-range and two 3-pointers on each side of halftime. One of the better forwards in northeast Ohio, Spikes is a name to know from the east side of Cleveland.

Another impressive defender, Ramos had multiple blocked shots at the rim as a help-side rim protector. Able to fly in and alter shots at the rim, Ramos has the length and athleticism to make a big defensive impact from the wing forward position as a secondary rim protector. Ramos also hit a couple mid-range shots, looking confident from the 10-18 foot range on the court. Glenville will certainly be a team to watch next season as they are never short on athletes.

Leftwich is a new name for myself and he just made a lot of plays for his team. Knocking down a bunch of shots from the perimeter, Leftwich made at least four 3-pointers in the championship game. Leftwich shot the ball with confidence and if you didn't have your hands up and altering his release point, it was probably going in. Impressive shooting performance from the northeast Ohio wing guard who was also recognized as a standout on Saturday.
