PureFocus Summer Slam – Saturday Afternoon Standouts (I)

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The PureFocus Summer Slam took place this past weekend at multiple sites on the west side of the Portland Metro area, and we had the opportunity to drop by and take in some action. A sneaky-quick guard, Batchelor does an excellent job controlling the pace of the game while serving as a true floor general. He is a solid outside shooter who can make defenses pay from beyond the arc, and his ball-handling ability allows him to create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Batchelor consistently made the right reads, delivered accurate passes, and played with a team-first mentality. The versatile stretch 3-4 finished with 20 points and showcased a well-rounded offensive game. Haskett has a nice shooting touch from the perimeter, but he can also put the ball on the floor and create for himself when needed. He showed the ability to play with his back to the basket and rebound in his position. A quick and aggressive competitor, he excels in transition and consistently creates opportunities with his speed. Defensively, he stood out as a strong on-ball defender, building on a season that saw him rank among the state's leaders in steals. A knockdown shooter, Dresser consistently stretches defenses and makes opponents pay when given space. He plays downhill with confidence, using his athleticism and ball-handling ability to get into the paint. Dresser also displayed a high basketball IQ, making smart decisions with and without the ball throughout the game. With his combination of shooting, playmaking, and competitiveness, he will be a key returning piece for Sherwood heading into next season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
