This time of year is exciting, as some matchups will fill the gym with coaches catching these Utah prospects playing. Here are the matchups you will see at Section 7.

City Mesa Bracket

Corner Canyon and Lone Peak are regional foes, and we are glad that they are at opposite ends of the bracket, as they would only meet if they both made it to the final.

Corner Canyon vs. Corona Centennial (CA)

This might seem like a fantastic football matchup, but believe it or not, it is a fantastic basketball matchup as well. CCHS has a lot of weapons to go to, as they have been getting consistent play from Josh Tollman, the strong SF. Then you can shift gears and get some high-quality play from sophomore PG/CG [player_tooltip player_id='2809197' first='Ty' last='Kozlowski'], who has been tough defensively, and Kozlowski has been shooting the ball much better. Mo Brown is a PF that has been getting bigger and stronger, and he can provide a strong presence inside. Corner Canyon has a deep bench, and they could make some noise right off the bat.

Lone Peak vs. La Mirada

LPHS will have their hands full with Gene Roebuck, the 6'5 SF that has 5 P5 offers. Lone Peak will rely on PG [player_tooltip player_id='1724367' first='Saxon' last='Young'] to get things going and his shot-making ability is going to be on display, as he is always up for the challenge. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='1724365' first='Crew' last='Fotheringham'] to make an impact as well. [player_tooltip player_id='2084384' first='Camden' last='Broadhead'] could be a player that can separate LP from a tough team like la Mirada.

Slam Graffix Bracket

Pleasant Grove vs. Mater Dei (CA)

This is going to be a great game to watch as will the others but this could be a game where Oliver Mossman and [player_tooltip player_id='2125357' first='Brennan' last='Blackett'] just take over. Blackett can do it in the perimeter and when he attacks. Mossman can do it inside as he has the ability to clean up the glass. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='3585249' first='Cooper' last='Young'] to be impactful in this game.

ASEC Brackett

American Fork vs. Cornerstone Christian

American Fork is on the rise, and they will need some solid minutes from Lincoln Zimmermana and new to AF play, and [player_tooltip player_id='2951725' first='Dax' last='Valgardson']; these two players provide length and skill that can help them advance. [player_tooltip player_id='1724369' first='Jax' last='Oyler'] is looking to make his presence felt with good outside shooting. Keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id='2194675' first='Dieter' last='Tuitavuki'] this year; he is ready to take his game to the next level.

ABCA Bracket

With multiple brackets is hard to see the three Utah team in one bracket. While there are 3 other brackets with no Utah teams.

Lehi vs. Oakland

This [player_tooltip player_id='1724360' first='Ashton' last='Shewell']-led team should be able to hang with anyone. Excited to see the development of Avery Tuk Howe, he was a player that had an unreal run at state this past season.

Highland vs. Marina Catholic

Layton vs. Bishop Amant

Layton should be an exciting team to watch as they have some players who are ready to see the floor at the varsity level. [player_tooltip player_id='1724368' first='Karter' last='Miller'] will lead the way, and which players will step up with him should be fun to witness.

John Dawson Bracket

Another bracket with 3 Utah teams in it. Unfortunate!

Olympus vs. St Ignatius Prep

Olympus is going to find a way to compete, and at Olympus, you already know that it is next man up. Keep an eye on [player_tooltip player_id='1724356' first='Davian' last='Lazarus']

Davis vs. Mira Costa

Davis should be a fun team to watch. They have some young players who can really go. [player_tooltip player_id='2194676' first='Owen' last='Barney'] can really play. [player_tooltip player_id='1611276' first='Bode' last='Sparrow'] is an absolute beast, and they have a lot of players around who are ready to step up.

Westlake vs. The Branson School

Westlake is coming off a state championship, and they are ready to showcase the next level of players out there.

Ortho Arizona Bracket

Orem vs. Eleanor Roosevelt

Timpview vs. Clovis West

Dorsey and Whitney Bracket
