Right now, it is unclear if he is best as a point guard or shooting guard. Buchanan's mobility is what it needs to be to compete favorably in high school. Adding heft will help finish after the harm. Wonderful size for college point guard. Excellent quickness in the Shuttle (2.99 seconds). Buchanan sustained a minor injury and was unable to compete in the 5v5, so his evaluation is a bit truncated.

Exceptional first step. Nathan Southall Nathan Southall 5'10" | PG Battle Ground | 2028 State TN played all day with guile. While he was an MLK High guy throughout his early high school days Nathan transferred to Battle Ground Academy and will join a revamped backcourt there. Southall constantly gets defenders leaning or "wrong-footed" with his dribbling and assortment of fakes. Southall is a lead guard that can pass or score. His outside shooting is average to slightly above for an All-District guy...which should be his ambition. Finishing with the left hand is an area he can attack with his development.

Exceptional catch-and-shoot option. He shot with a high arc and did not force bad shots. Needs to get quicker as an on-ball defender. He projects as a small college 2-guard which means he will be paired against very, very quick dribblers. His feet can get heavy as a defender/slasher (3.52, 3.55 3/4-court sprint). Naturally strong he is able to hold his ground defending guards in the post or mid-range. Wonderful balance as a shooter. Big hands (9.5" span). Within the confines of his basketball program, it will be interesting to see how well he creates for others. Judging by his movement away from the basketball Williams understands angles and spacing.

Really slick feet. Good strength. Quick release. He caught a defender sleeping and pulled up like Damian Lillard sharply. Bottom of the net. Mylan is a technically sound player. Strong upper body. He could use it even more to hold defenders away while he attacks the lane. Must become more vocal. Assume the role of floor general. Take command.

Reyce projects as a point guard. Fast. Very fast. He looked up the floor well in the five versus five games though he could get the ball out even quicker. On one occasion, Reyce Corbin enjoyed two flying wings out wide and though the transitioning defense tried to trap they were not close enough to deter the outlet pass. Corbin, to his credit, did not turn it over despite the pressure, but his mild hesitancy allowed a second defender to recover back and mitigate Corbin's team's odd-man advantage. On defense Corbin needs to get lower and create a wider base. He is not slow laterally, but he inhibited his lateral mobility a touch just by playing to upright. He died on the screen as a defender, just completely shutting it down instead of, at the very least, calling out for a switch. You can't only invest on offense.
With his 4v4 team desperately needing a make, and teamed with two proven shooters, Corbin took a 21' shot for the win. Completely ill-advised.
Reyce recorded a blisteringly fast shuttle (2.74) and 3/4 court sprint (2.96 seconds).
His shot selection was not good in the 4v4. As he matures within this game, he needs to identify mismatches and feed the hot hand. Further, Corbin must learn what is a high percentage shot by him and what equates to a prayer. Distinguishing the difference and limiting the latter is imperative for his basketball development. He looked up the floor well in the five versus five games though he could get the ball out even quicker.
