Midwest Crossroads Showcase: 2028 Small Forwards To Track

Earlier in the week we took a look at some of the top Forwards who stood out in the class of 2028. In this article, we will do a deeper dive into specifically 2028 Small Forwards who had good showings and are ones to keep track of heading into the junior years.    Have not seen Hardy since our Prep Hoops Fall showcase. His strong frame while having awareness and a motor on both sides are traits which impact the most. He endures physicality underneath to bang around especially for rebounding opportunities in heavy traffic. He'll continue to win those contests vs more height because of timing and effort. Has plus bounce as well which provides value. Runs with solid pace and showed some stretch ability to knock down a three. Ceiling continues to rise.     An athletic slashing wing that can get up with bounce. Has plus length already but utilizes hands/feet to create bigger challenge defensively. Disrupts passing lanes, digs 1 pass away, and consistently contested shots at the rim or on the perimeter. Blocked a couple 3's in team's Saturday morning contest. Offensively excels at running in transition with strides and keeping up with pace. Created second chance opportunities. Cut off the ball multiple times to find open gaps to retrieve it and score. Will continue to build stock.     Scored it efficiently from 3 levels in late morning game on Saturday. Solid in catch and shoot 3 opportunities, connected on a smooth 16 foot jumper off the bounce, and battled for interior finishes from the low block and dunker areas. Utilizes length effectively on the glass. Converted on an offensive rebound put back and squeezed it high multiple times defensively. Active in the passing lanes. Tallied him for at least 3 steals which turned into fast opportunities on the other end. Overall showcased a well rounded skill set that will impact winning in a variety of ways.     Moore is a physical and well built forward with plus athletic ability. Will play with a competitive yet sound aggressiveness throughout. A fringe 2 to 4 man that could fit into any of the three dependent upon program need. His upside is there to fill a 2 spot because of slashing ability and perimeter presence yet he has the size and toughness to bang down low at small forward role. Pick pocketed a steal then made a 2 hand slam the other way. Also was above the rim on another dunk for a 1 hand tomahawk in the open floor. Confident in catch and shoot opportunities from 3 land. Hard nosed defensively. Keep tabs on next 2 years.     An energetic and high motor forward I caught in mid afternoon game on Saturday. Fairman's game spoke for itself. Efficient on the low block working from short corner as well as dunker areas. Crashed the glass on both ends. Came away with multiple offensive rebounds for put backs to create more momentum. Anticipates well on both sides of the ball using length to advantage. Showed quality feel with a couple dish offs to teammates as well. Will impact off of athleticism and effort.
