Lemil is the prototypical point guard who looks to get everyone involved on offense. He's a great passer who always found ways of making the right plays for [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] Gold 2030. Most of the assists he made were off strong drives that brought in defenders. This led to high percentage shots for his teammates around the rim or open looks along the perimeter. When I watched him play, I noticed Lemil had a nice lay-up package. Most of his rim attacks came with acrobatic finishes such as lefty or righty scoops, high arcing floaters or reverses on either side of the rim. Some he converted, some he missed. What's more important was his ability to attack opposing defenses whenever he needed to. On defense, he used quick hands and great footwork to be a nuisance against the opposition. He forced multiple turnovers by applying excellent pressure on the ball. Lemil was also adept at jumping the passing lanes and generating steals. He's a great defender and play-maker. Once he develops a consistent jump-shot, Lemil could become an elite player in the coming years. Keep working Lemil!!

This young man is a scorer! As soon as I began to watch the game, I could clearly see who was the team's best shot-maker. Jacob was great at making shots from all areas of the court. Whether it was beating defenders to the basket, scoring from mid-range or knocking down three-pointers, Jacob was hard to handle for the opposition. There was a sequence in the game when he knocked down consecutive shots. He attacked the paint and scored on tough drives through contact. On the team's next possession, he knocked down a contested three-pointer that brought his team closer in the scoring column. Jacob had a knack for finding ways to get open within the offense. This led to him converting a high percentage of his shots. Defensively, he has quick hands. He forced three steals and pressured opposing guards to handle the ball cautiously. Jacob is an excellent two-way player who showed the capability of being a special player for years to come.

Andre White Jr. 5-8- 2030- Christel house Middle School- Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14u-1

Andre was one of the most athletic guards at the tournament! I appreciated his determination to score whenever he had the ball. He was always in “attack mode,” no matter who guarded him on defense. Andre has a great handle of the basketball. He used a quick first-step to drive by opponents and score. I was blown away by his rebounding ability. There was a moment during the game, when he grabbed a defensive rebound, drove the length of the court and finished with a lay-up. Andre welcomed the challenge of battling opposing players on the glass. He's an excellent finisher in transition. He had a way of filling the correct passing lane needed to score during fast-breaks. When Andre had the opportunity to shoot from the perimeter, he did with no hesitation. On defense, he made it tough on opposing guards by applying constant pressure on the ball. He forced numerous turnovers that led to positive outcomes for Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14u-1. Andre is a hard worker who could succeed on any team he plays with. Keep it up Andre!!

[player_tooltip player_id='3572332' first='Saveon' last='Shackleford'] 5-8- 2030- Park View Middle School- Midwest Spartans 14u

Saveon has the mentality of a true “floor general.” He's a great ball handler who always looked to set-up his teammates for high percentage shots. After watching Saveon play, I saw an elite passer of the basketball. He always managed to find Midwest Spartan 14u players in positions to score. I can say with confidence, Saveon led the team in assists and play-making. He showed great leadership by communicating with his teammates throughout the duration of the game. Saveon can also score the rock when he has to. He knocked down multiple threes and occasionally attacked the basket. One of the three-pointers was a highlight play. He used a nice step-back dribble to create the space he needed to make the shot. Defensively, he gave maximum effort by staying with his opponent, poking at the ball and making it hard for them to handle the ball. Saveon is an excellent lead guard who has a strong chance of becoming elite in future.

Kevin Vaughn 5-8- 2030- Chapel Hill Middle School- Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14u-1

He's a good player who makes plays on offense and defense. Kevin is an excellent scorer in the paint. The majority of his points came off hustle plays and offensive put-backs around the rim. He's a great rebounder who dominated the glass on both ends of the court. Kevin didn't mind battling the opposition for rebounds in the paint. If there was an "all hustle team,” he would be there. Kevin did all the little things to help Be Legendary Hoop Dreams 14u-1 win games. He excelled at setting screens, fighting for possessions and taking advantage of smaller defenders in the paint. He also showed the ability to score from mid-range. When he had good looks at the basket, Kevin didn't hesitate to take it. He's a great teammate who does what's necessary to be a positive asset to the team. Once Kevin polishes his game offensively, the sky's the limit for this young man.

James is an unselfish player who looks to get everyone involved. He's an excellent facilitator who rebounds and defends. When he stepped on the floor James immediately made an impact with his passes. Offensively, I wish I could've seen him play with more aggression. I know he can do it because he's too great of a ball handler. I believe James could easily blow by defenders and score at the basket. In the game I watched he chose to be a play-maker. He had no problems delivering passes to his teammates in scoring positions. James is a hard working player who plays the game with heart and determination. When Indiana Elite 14u Shepherd needed a play, James made it happen in the form of grabbing important rebounds or making the perfect pass. He excelled at pushing the pace and finding open teammates during fast-breaks. On defense, he was great at pressuring opposing guards into mistakes. Once James becomes more aggressive on offense, I believe he could take his game to the next level. Keep working James!!
