Frontcourt Stock Watch: Big Men Making Real Noise This Offseason

While guards often grab the headlines during the travel season, several frontcourt prospects have used the offseason to elevate their recruitment and establish themselves as names college programs need to know. This group has brought production, versatility, and long-term upside to the table. Sherman's stock is climbing rapidly after an impressive showing in Philadelphia. Standing 7-2, he naturally alters the game with his size, but it's the skill level that's generating attention. He moves well for his frame, possesses advanced footwork around the basket, and has touch that extends beyond the paint. When he establishes position, defenders have very few answers. With continued development, national attention is following quickly. Few frontcourt prospects offer the combination of tools and upside that Thurman brings. The left-handed forward showcased his versatility with strong scoring performances while displaying the ability to handle the ball, create off the bounce, and make plays for teammates. His length and athleticism allow him to impact the game above the rim as a rebounder and defender. As his body continues to mature, Thurman looks like a prospect whose best basketball is still well ahead of him. Rydzewski continues to carve out a niche as a skilled modern forward. At 6-8, he stretches defenses with perimeter shooting while also possessing enough strength to operate around the basket. He understands spacing, moves well without the ball, and consistently makes smart decisions. His combination of size, shooting ability, and feel for the game makes him a valuable frontcourt prospect heading into his senior year. Edeoga put together one of the more dominant offseason stretches of any young big man in the state. The 6-7 forward overwhelmed opponents with his strength, physicality, and relentless work around the basket. He finishes through contact, controls the glass on both ends, and consistently establishes deep position. His presence in the paint changes the complexion of a game and makes him one of Southwest Florida's most intriguing young frontcourt prospects. Mitchell has emerged as one of the Panhandle's most skilled frontcourt prospects. The 6-7 wing-forward shoots it at a high level, plays with tremendous confidence, and understands how to create mismatches. Defenders struggle to match his blend of size and perimeter skill, while his basketball IQ allows him to impact the game without forcing shots. With college interest continuing to grow, Mitchell is positioning himself for a major senior season.
