Club Hoops: Making Noise This Spring

The club basketball season has provided plenty of opportunities for players to make a name for themselves, and several hoopers from North Dakota and South Dakota programs have done exactly that. From strong individual performances to consistent production and winning basketball, these players have continued to stand out throughout the spring while helping their teams compete at a high level.   In this edition of Club Hoops: Making Noise This Spring, we're highlighting a group of ballers who have caught our attention with their bball play. Whether it's scoring, playmaking, defending, rebounding, or simply impacting winning, these hoopers have given us plenty of reasons to keep a close eye on their development moving forward. Andrew's name has popped up again. The long, smart, and skilled Squirrel had a rockstar HS season and that high level of play is carrying over into club hoops. Andrew plays with great pace that translates very well to the next level. Ziemer is a pass-first PG, a lockdown defender, a fruitful rebounder, and an any-level scorer.     Dale showed his tough shot-making ability this spring. He is an impressive bucket-getter for such a young age. Dale drills dribble pull-up J's and drains 3-pointers. When he gets hot, Carter can shoot his team to a win. Dale also does good work with the ball and navigates ball screens effectively.     Mr. Johnson had a strong spring for NLBA. Chase is a quick guard who can light it up. He creates well on and off the ball. He has great court vision with the ball and is aggressive on defense. Chase is a pest on-ball. The best part of Johnson's game is his scoring ability.     *Hoops with Bearstail out of ND for club ball   The super-talented PG from Tonka is winning a ton of games, dishing boatloads of assists, and making everyone better. Eli is a spark plug that makes Bearstail go. His intensity and defensive pressure make it tough on opposing ball-handlers. Thompson shoots the 3-ball at a high-level and always pushes the ball in uptempo. He thrives at keeping defenders on their heels. Eli sets up others for open shots and always finds the hot hand. He is also a talented slasher and finisher at the rim.     The young Blue Jay proved why he is considered one of the elite shooters in the '29 class. Rham shot the lights out of the gym and stood out as a high-IQ playmaker. Landry is a clutch scorer and a cold-blooded shooter. He also made a big jump with his ability to bring the ball up under pressure. Take a look; this kid is a talented and fun player to watch hoop.     Kurtenbach had a strong spring in club ball. This young Watchdog is a great decision-maker and floor general. Liam drives downhill and uses ball-screens well. He stood out this spring by single-handedly taking over moments and winning games.     Voigt has improved his already impressive offensive game. Oliver is a monster on the offensive and defensive glass. He is a major difference-maker and impact player for [program_tooltip program_id='2228190' first='TEAM' last='Warwick']. He is athletic, long, versatile, skilled, and productive.     This kid has had a phenomenal spring and is coming off an NHR weekend where he shot it smoking hot from 3-point land. Pat is a high-energy athlete who impacts winning. He is shifty and fast with the ball in his hands. Shanahan gets to the rim when he wants and shoots a high percentage. This Magician is full of intrigue.     Sam had an outstanding spring while putting up splashy numbers. Staudinger is a beast on the glass and finishes at the rim through contact at a high clip. He is no stranger to overpowering other forwards with size and strength.     Sully had a HUGE spring and has picked up two D1 offers. Felberg has expanded his offensive game and has also upgraded his defense to the point where his presence changes the game.
