June 9-10 I watched the fourth ever Section-7 Qualifier. There were 84 teams in 6 pools of 14 teams each.

The 6 winners advanced to the official Section-7 Weekend June 12-14 versus some of the top teams on the West Coast.

I watched a bunch of full and half of some of the games. I obviously did not watch every team and when I watched, I am basing it on that performance and on the teams success combined.

Congrats to Arizona College Prep, Chaparral, Gilbert Christian, Notre Dame Prep, West Point and Williams Field for earning spots into the weekends Section-7 Tournament.

I break down all 64 players with different categories.

Here are the All Section-7 Qualifier Newcomers

[player_tooltip player_id='3667477' first='Sam' last='Hickson'] Arizona College Prep (Pictured)

A big true post player was a stud junior varsity player last year and got moved up and he is producing immediately. He has great hands to catch tough passes with advanced post footwork to score. He uses quick moves to finish efficiently around the basket. He is also a smart passer out of the double team. He was one of the main reasons they advanced to the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='3668390' first='Karter' last='Battle'] Skyline

A senior scoring guard is a newcomer for me. He plays the right way and seems to find his spots on the court to score. He will hit the three off the catch, get to the basket after a sneaky quicker burst and shoot it with mid-range pull-ups. The program is much improved this season and he should do quite well.

[player_tooltip player_id='3667479' first='Jeremiah' last='Kuac'] Sunnyslope

A massive post player with nice hands and huge feet. He uses his girth and strength to gain position and grabs the ball with two hands. He is a very good outlet passer like Kevin Love way down the court to his guards and plays with some aggression. The more shape he gets into the next four years, his game will take off.

[player_tooltip player_id='3668391' first='Carson' last='Namanny'] The Gregory School

An undersized power forward with some strength and stronger hands to work effectively around the basket. He goes to the correct spots on the floor and will catch passes thrown his way and finish in traffic with tough layups and score with hook shots and rip thrus.

[player_tooltip player_id='3667469' first='Jordan' last='Martin'] Sahuaro

A long wing forward who has to play down low but moves gracefully from end to end like a guard. He is a very good athlete and he is an out of area rebounder who can defend multiple positions on the floor. He can shoot it from the three and score it inside with put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2659968' first='Gabe' last='Mwizerwa'] West Point

The man in the middle is the teams sixth man and comes in and changes the game immediately. He scores it with hook shots, he runs the floor for layups and his drop step move is slowly coming around to finish in the painted area. He is a high end rebounder and shows you glimpses of his potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='3668362' first='Jake' last='Dox'] Chaparral

A scoring guard who can play some on or off the ball. He has a little wiggle to get his own shot off and will score it with dribble drives and finish with tear drops and floaters. He is definitely best with threes off the catch or pull and has a high arc and pretty touch to rattle them in quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id='3668358' first='Milo' last='Tamayo'] La Joya

A newcomer in the West Valley is a lefty power forward with some skill and a high motor to compete. He grabs rebounds in and out of his area with his plus wingspan and motor to crash the glass. He will score with a nice touch around the basket and earns trips to the FT line.
