<p>June 9-10 I watched the fourth ever <strong>Section-7 Qualifier</strong>. There were 84 teams in 6 pools of 14 teams each. </p>

<p>The 6 winners advanced to the official <strong>Section-7 Weekend</strong> June 12-14 versus some of the top teams on the West Coast. </p>

<p>I watched a bunch of full and half of some of the games. I obviously did not watch every team and when I watched, I am basing it on that performance and on the teams success combined. </p>

<p>A skilled wing forward can play a few positions for the Saints. He will score it with rip thrus inside and shoot it from mid to the three point line. He will also euro step, score with alley-oop dunks and get downhill into a spin move. He will rebound and block shots. </p>

<p>A good sized wing forward who can play some of the two spot to the three, four or five. He will score it with cuts off the ball, mid-range jumpers and threes off the catch. He will rebound well in and out of his area and can score with offensive rebound put backs. </p>

<p>A wing forward is a threat to score it from inside and out. He can shoot it with elbow jumpers and loves to get to the basket and will rip thru, offensive rebound put backs and he can score it in traffic. He has soft hands to catch tough passes in the lane and will finish quickly.</p>

<p>A skilled and very crafty forward who is a good passer and plays the right way. He can shoot it a little from the perimeter and then work his way down low to the basket and score with contact takes. He will finish it off or earn trips to the free throw line. </p>

<p>A physical framed scoring point guard is an attacking guard who likes to get downhill. He is a capable three point shooter when left open off the catch. He is also a strong rebounder using his thicker frame and will score with offensive rebound put backs. </p>

<p>A high motored power forward is a great rebounder in and out of his area and will block shots with great intensity. He seems to live on the glass and will score with put backs and mid-range jumpers. He times the ball really well to block shots and he is a good passer out of the double team. </p>

<p>A forward who can play the wing, power forward and the five spot with his size. He is a fluid mover that runs the floor well and will defend in space and inside the paint. He will blocks shots and grab rebounds in and out of his area. He scores it from inside and out.</p>

<p>A long power forward who works effectively around the basket with hook shots, offensive rebound put backs and he can face-up from elbow and in. He will track the ball well and time it to rebound or block shots. He gives the small school some much needed size. </p>
