[player_tooltip player_id='3678004' first='Eric' last='Buhl'] of Richfield. Buhl was the lone freshman on the Richfield roster last year, the 6'2 wing was on the junior varsity last year earning experience. With the [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] returning so much talent you could see him either on that JV again or fighting for reserve time on that [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] bench.

[player_tooltip player_id='3582452' first='Deshon' last='Cumber'] of St. Anthony Village. Cumber is a 5'9 guard that was brought up to help with the ball handling on JV/V and turned out to be one of the better nine/ten guys in the program. Played a little varsity and got good experience with the JV.

Cole LaSage of Westonka. Big school freshman varsity players that averaged double figures? You can count the number of players on one hand, and Cole would be one of the players you are counting. The six foot guard was the second leading scorer for the Hawks averaging over 11 points a game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2808045' first='Cade' last='Mathiowetz'] of Delano. A six foot guard from Delano that played junior varsity this season but played at the even of several varsity games as well. Scored in three varsity games this season and will work for a reserve spot on varsity next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='3587000' first='Abdullahi' last='Sharif Abbas'] of St. Paul Highland Park. The lone freshman on the JV/V for Highland Park last year, Abbas is a 5'11 guard that helped playmake for the junior varsity for most of last season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2887249' first='Brody' last='Schmidt'] of Hill-Murray. This is a good story here. Brody will be the top returning guard for the Pioneers after being the fourth leading scorer for his team last season. What is really encouraging has been Schmidt playing at an all state level for the Titans in 15u, and as a sophomore a new coach should open the door opportunity wise. Schmidt is a regular double figure scorer for the Titans.

[player_tooltip player_id='3604512' first='Colton' last='Seaberg'] of South St. Paul. the 5'8 guard played JV this winter and seemed to improve week by week. Started to see a little varsity time and is now a ball handler we have on list to keep a close eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='3594805' first='Elijah' last='Thomas'] of Robbinsdale Cooper. Thomas was in the rotation this as a 6'2 wing and had six double figure scoring games this year including a 16 point game against Kennedy. Thomas averaged over seven points a game as one of the more productive freshman in big school hoops at the varsity level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2843147' first='David' last='Walker'] of Minneapolis South. The speedy guard with the ball skills and matured game played junior varsity last winter for the Tigers and has a chance to help the varsity this winter.
